Women's Health Care Marketing Services Firm, Procare Health For Immediate Release Women’s Health Care Marketing Services Firm, Procare Health, Jumpstarts Success with Cloud-Based Veeva CRM BARCELONA, Spain — 23 Oct, 2013 – Procare Health launched its marketing, sales, and distribution company earlier this year to help life science organisations increase their share of the women’s health market and improve profitability. A recent five-year deal with a leading multinational pharmaceutical enterprise has given Procare the exclusive right to promote the company’s products in the Spanish healthcare market. Procare needed a customer relationship management (CRM) solution that could be easily adapted and scaled to satisfy its customers’ varying requirements, giving the company a competitive advantage. The company turned to Veeva Systems for its flexible, multitenant cloud-based CRM platform and reputation for developing some of the most advanced solutions on the market, including Veeva iRep, the company’s combined CRM and closed-loop marketing application for the Apple iPad. “As a start-up venture with a lot to prove, we needed an innovative, feature-rich solution that would allow us to deliver the kind of edge our clients demand,” said Yann Gaslain, founding partner and managing director at Procare Health. “Veeva gives us that advantage with a comprehensive suite of applications that provide cutting-edge features using the most relevant devices across all channels.” With Veeva iRep, insights from the field are available in real-time so they are immediately actionable. This also gives management access to up-to-date customer information for complete visibility of all customer interactions with reps in the field. “It’s a window that gives us the opportunity to improve sales and marketing efforts earlier, and enable our clients to achieve their commercial goals faster,” added Gaslain. Procare provides pharmaceutical companies with outsourced sales support for limited engagements, making it imperative to find an agile CRM that could be easily adapted for each customer’s unique needs. The solution also had to be fast to deploy, allowing Procare to provide its customers a fully functional system right out of the box that would be easily configurable to meet the specific needs of any client quickly. Procare deployed Veeva CRM in just four weeks, dramatically increasing its sales and marketing effectiveness. “Veeva CRM is so intuitive and easy-to-use that our sales teams have quickly embraced it, even reps who are less familiar with modern technology,” explained Gaslain. “They have been able to jump right in and start improving call efficiency. In fact, users are leveraging the system’s powerful functionality effortlessly with less than one day’s training.” Procare worked closely with both Veeva and Pharma Advisors, Veeva’s local services partner, for the implementation. “Working with local, Spanish resources who speak in our native tongue helped to make the process smooth,” remarked Gaslain. “All in all, we had wonderful support from the collective Veeva team. Everyone was highly responsive and committed to our success – which is exactly how we treat our customers.” About Procare Health Procare Health (www.procarehealth.es) was founded in 2013 with the aim of developing as a strategic partner in the women's healthcare market, responding to increased demand as a result of the change of business model within the pharmaceutical industry. Procare provides an innovative and distinctive business model for its strategic partners, which not only translates into significant cost savings and flexibility, but also adds value thanks to the expertise and know-how of the Procare team in the area of women’s healthcare. The team is supported by the latest technological tools (including digitised promotional materials and cloud-based CRM systems), which help to position Procare as a key partner in the women's healthcare market. ® 2013 Veeva Systems Inc. O/118/17 TRADE MARKS ACT 1994 68 APPLICATIONS BY ENTITIES UNDER THE CONTROL OF MR MICHAEL GLEISSNER TO REVOKE 68 TRADE MARKS OWNED BY APPLE INC. FOR NON-USE AND APPLE’S APPLICATION FOR THE REVOCATION APPLICATIONS TO BE STRUCK OUT AS AN ABUSE OF PROCESS AND FOR AN AWARD OF COSTS Provisional decision 1. My provisional decision dated 18th January 2017 explained why 68 applications1 filed by Sherlock Systems C.V., American Franchise Marketing Ltd and Fashion International Ltd (“the applicants”) to revoke trade marks owned by Apple Inc. (“Apple”) for non-use should be struck out as an abuse of process. 2. I gave directions to the parties to file written submissions as to costs and indicated that I would issue a final decision after I had reviewed those submissions. I subsequently received submissions on behalf of the applicants and Apple. 3. The submissions filed on behalf of Apple asked for an award of £92,761 in costs, plus £550 to cover the cost of preparing written submissions on costs. Apple submits that the proper course is to divide its costs amongst the 68 applications, which works out as £1364.13 per application. Looked at this way, Apple claims that the costs it seeks are within the boundaries of the registrar’s usual scale of costs. Alternatively, Apple claims that the applicants acted unreasonably and Apple should be awarded its costs, even if that means departing from the registrar’s usual scale of costs. In this connection, Apple reminded me of the well-known Rizla decision2, in which the court accepted that the registrar has the power to award costs on a compensatory basis.
