His research focuses on corporate governance of banks and the effect of politically connected banks on political processes. He holds a MSc in International Political Economy from the London School of Economics and obtained a BA in Political Science and Economics from the Free University of Berlin. Amongst others, Jonas has Worked as a research and teaching assistant, and as a Carlo- Schmid felloW and consultant at the International Trade Centre.
