This college is engaged to maintain the quality in higher education by providing opportunity to the rural and urban students. The college was started with 96 students initially with BA and BCOM and now at present 1480 students are pursuing their higher education in different classes namely B.A., B.Com. and B.Sc courses. Central Ground Water Board has decided to bring out district level ground water information booklets highlighting the ground water scenario, its resource potential, quality aspects, recharge – discharge relationship, etc., for all the districts of the country. The scheme mainly focuses on the improvement of Major District Roads (MDRs). In almost all the districts of the Karnataka state, the scheme is underway and work is in different stages of progress. From the improved roads, it was expected that there will be a spur in the overall economic development of the area surrounding MDRs developed under the scheme. At this juncture, the government entrusted us to evaluate the performance of the scheme in terms of achieving its targeted goals and to ascertain the loopholes and suggest the remedial measures.
