    Summary of Sexual Abuse Claims in Chapter 11 Cases of Boy Scouts of America There are approximately 101,135sexual abuse claims filed. Of those claims, the Tort Claimants’ Committee estimates that there are approximately 83,807 unique claims if the amended and superseded and multiple claims filed on account of the same survivor are removed. The summary of sexual abuse claims below uses the set of 83,807 of claim for purposes of claims summary below.1 The Tort Claimants’ Committee has broken down the sexual abuse claims in various categories for the purpose of disclosing where and when the sexual abuse claims arose and the identity of certain of the parties that are implicated in the alleged sexual abuse. Attached hereto as Exhibit 1 is a chart that shows the sexual abuse claims broken down by the year in which they first arose. Please note that there approximately 10,500 claims did not provide a date for when the sexual abuse occurred. As a result, those claims have not been assigned a year in which the abuse first arose. Attached hereto as Exhibit 2 is a chart that shows the claims broken down by the state or jurisdiction in which they arose. Please note there are approximately 7,186 claims that did not provide a location of abuse. Those claims are reflected by YY or ZZ in the codes used to identify the applicable state or jurisdiction. Completed 1895; architect John A. Thomas. Landmark Site: Borough of Manhattan Tax Map Block 15o6, Lot 21 in part, consisting of the land on which the described improvement is situated. On October 11, 1966, the Landmarks Preservation Commission held a public hearing on the proposed designation as a Landmark of the Madison Avenue front (in­ cluding corner towers) of the Squadron "A" Armory and the proposed designation of the related Landmark Site. (Item No. 16). The hearing had been duly advertised in accordance with the provisions of law. Twelve witnesses spoke in favor of desig­ nation. There were four speakers in opposition to designation; they were fearful that the retaining of the Madison Avenue front of the Armory might delay the con­ struction of the new public school on the Park Avenue side of the site. The Commission has received numerous letters from residents in the neighborhood favoring designation. Several prominent New York architects wrote favorable endorsements of the Madison Avenue front of the Armory. In a letter to the Commission, the Borough Presidentrs Community Planning Board No. 8 supported the preservation of the Madison Avenue facade of the 94th Street Armory as a Landmark, provided it did not delay the construction of the new school. DESCRIPTION AND ANALYSIS The two brick towers of the Madison Avenue front of the Squadron "A" Armory evoke strong memories of a fortified medieval castle.

On July 12, 1988, the Landmarks Preservation Commission held a public hearing on the proposed designation as a Landmark of the the 102nd Medical Battalion Armory and the proposed designation of the related Landmark Site (Item No. 8). The hearing had been duly advertised in accordance with the provisions of law. Seventeen witnesses, including representatives of the owner, spoke in favor of designation and one took no position. DESCRIPTION AND ANALYSIS Summary Built in 1900-1903, the First Battery Armory (later the 102nd Medical Battalion Armory) was one of the few remaining examples of an American building type largely developed in New York City. It was the seventh of ten armories built by the New York city Armory Board as part of a general campaign to control rioting workers in industrial cities. The armory was designed by the firm of Horgan & Slattery when it held a virtual monopoly on city architectural and construction work gained through a relationship with the Tammany administration of Mayor Robert Van Wyck. The First Battery, a mounted field artillery unit established in 1867, was a well-regarded volunteer unit of the National Guard of the State of New York. Primarily German­ American in its membership, it had its own distinctive traditions that extended to its uniforms and its armory.     Landmarks Preservation Commission December 15, 1998, Designation List 300 LP-2019 23rd POLICE PRECINCT (" TENDERLOIN" ) STATION HOUSE (now Traffic Control Division), 134-138 West 30th Street, Manhattan. Built 1907-08; R. Thomas Short, architect. Landmark Site: Borough of Manhattan Tax Map Block 805, Lot 82. On July 14, 1998, the Landmarks Preservation Commission held a public hearing on the proposed designation as a Landmark of the 23rd Police Precinct Station House, and the proposed designation of the related Landmark Site (Item No. 2). The hearing had been duly advertised in accordance with the provisions of law. A representative of the New York City Police Department spoke in favor of designation. In addition, the Commission has received letters from Community Board 5 and the Historic Districts Council in support of designation. Summary The 23rd Police Precinct Station House, located on the south side of West 30th Street between Sixth and Seventh Avenues, was erected in 1907-08 to the design of R. Thomas Short, who is best known as a designer of apartment buildings as a partner in the firm of Harde & Short. This station house served the legendary Tenderloin section of midtown Manhattan that was previously part of the 19th Precinct, one of the city's busiest. The police had occupied a smaller station house across the street since 1869. One of the first station houses constructed in Manhattan for the Police Department following the Consolidation of Greater New York, it was one of the earliest in New York to solely employ automobile patrols. The unusual Medieval Revival style of the building, more commonly associated with armories, resulted from a police commissioner's desire for a building that "look[s] like a police station" and forcefully asserted the authority of the police.
