Big Money Rally 2020 Rev 2020.01.13A Page 1 Of Big Money Rally 2020 Rev 2020.01.13a Do You See The Light? Page 1 of 112 Big Money Rally 2020 Rev 2020.01.13a For being a part of BMR2020. This is our 9th consecutive BMR event and 12th BMR-style event. Many of you have been with us since the beginning, some of you are new. Either way, we believe that this year you’re in for a fantastic event. The bonuses included in this initial pack, unless noted otherwise, are available from 0:00:01am Wednesday 01/01/2020 through 11:59:59.59(noon) Saturday 05/23/2020. • These times are PST and PDT respectively; or simply put: “Reno Time”. • Yes, you are correct: BMR2020 is: • 12,402,000 seconds in length • 206,700 minutes in length. • 3,445hours in length. • 143.5412 days in length • Note: Any time/date reference always = “Reno Time” (local time in Reno Nevada USA) DIC (Daily Identification Code) is required in all bonus submissions. A few themes alternately require HIC (Hourly Identificaiton Code) Re-Engineered Smart Phone Apps AGAIN, Big thanks to Justin Long for taking stewardship of the BMR apps and doing a magnificent job! Really impressive and fun. It is important that you: - Keep the information that he sent you on-hand (your unique key etc) so that you have it when/if you need it. - Know how to submit bonuses without the app, via your phone’s email program. There may be a need or want to do this, understand how to. - When sending without the app, know how to include applicable time codes (DIC and/or HIC). Remember these codes need to be visible on an object in the bonus picture, ideally grease pen on you placard or on a post-it note. KEEP IN MIND!! The app is a great tool, most riders use it for the fantastic functionality that it offers. BUT!! It is an option; it is a luxury and it is in no way mandatory. Said another way, don’t blame that app if you have issues, it is an option. Those who haven’t practiced sending manually risk finding themselves frustrated and losing points. Page 2 of 112 Big Money Rally 2020 Rev 2020.01.13a MANY people have generously donated their time, skills and fun to bring you this bonus listing. The best way to show appreciation to the volunteers who make this event possible: • Make solid efforts with your pictures. Your efforts make a difference and your efforts after reaching the bonus location are viewed with prejudice by the scoring team. Change-Log We will use this page as a change-log to summarize new bonuses as well as make note of corrections or other issues. Riders are expected to use this bonus listing as a dynamic document, it will be updated as necessary, likely on each Wednesday or as needed. • 2019.12.24a -Criteria on MC theme changed from “Methodist Church” to “United Methodist” -WD / WH Themes released. • 2019.12.26a -PW (Past Winners) Theme Released • 2019.12.26b -CT (Small Town Big City Name) Theme Released -AF151 typo corrected to Asheville • 2019.12.27a -SS (Route 66) Theme Released • 2019.12.28a CD (Cathedral) Theme Released • 2019.12.30b ZZ Theme and point values released. • 2020.01.13a Typos Corrected FA132, FA105, FA259 Page 3 of 112 Big Money Rally 2020 Rev 2020.01.13a Below are many, but not all, of the themes in BMR2020. We’ll be rolling the themes out in a dynamic fashion this year, not all themes will be introduced at the same time. This bonus listing document will be updated many times. BMR riders submit over 20,000 bonuses a rally. Since day one, BMR has taken a different approach on the mechanics of how we score such volume in near real-time. We continually fine-tune and attempt to perfect what we do. BMR2020 is no exception. We have many unique tools in place, which is why we can do things differently than other events. We work hard and invest heavily on unique tools, nifty technology and sharp bonus listings. But the baseline to fair, consistent and timely scoring is the individuals on the scoring team and YOU the rider. Don’t assume based on your experiences with other events that you know what is expected of you in this event. The scorers in this event have personally submitted and scored over 100,000 competitive bonus submissions. They know both sides of the scoring table. They are active in creating sharp bonus listings and they lead by example when submitting their own bonuses submissions and by their selfless contributions to score tens of thousands of bonuses. They work as a team, they talk to each other about your submission efforts. Every year we work to help riders understand the expectations. A useful resource to help understand expectations has been put together by Gary Andrew. With input from the team, in 2018 he put together a very nice piece on how to succeed in this event every word is still applicable. Spend time HERE Consistent with all prior BMR events, the points needed to reach “Finisher Status” = 144 Unless specifically noted otherwise: Motorcycle, Placard and Identification Code (DIC or HIC) are required in all bonus submissions. New for 2020 • ZZ Theme. There are a few “kickers” for riders that reach a threshold in certain themes. These riders will be rewarded handsomely. • We have always allowed snowmobiles in lieu of motorcycles. This year we’re allowing personal private aircraft. Note that all typical scoring criteria applies AND the aircraft registration number must be in the picture. It must be a plane that YOU piloted to the bonus location. Page 5 of 112 Big Money Rally 2020 Rev 2020.01.13a ZZ | Theme. Please understand these bonuses and the important role they play in BMR2020 ZZ100 Points: 360.001 Riders who earn Quantity 18 DR bonuses will receive 360.001 points with this bonus. Fine Print There is a reason the DR theme was among the first themes released. Every rider should already have plans in place to get as many of these as possible. Note: Every rider, has day ride access to a DR most every week. There are 189 DR bonuses, earn just 10% of them and you’ll get this 360.001 point kicker. Earn just one DR bonus a week and you’ll be past the threshold to earn this bonus. At Qty 18 DR bonuses, the points effectively net out to 40 points per DR, for a total of 720 points. Of course, there is no limit to how many DR bonuses you earn, and you can earn up to 9 each week. Rider does not need to enter the ZZ001 code. It will be done internally, maybe not instantly, but very soon after you reach the criteria. ZZ200 Points: 250.002 Riders who run the table on the SS (Route 66 theme) will receive 250.002 points with this bonus. Fine Print: The SS theme is a fantastic bucket list theme -that should be on everyone’s radar. To bring attention to this theme we’re offering substantial points to riders who complete the whole SS theme. Earn all SS bonuses and this bonus worth 250.002 points will be applied internally (you don’t need to claim this bonus, it will be done internally) Note, there may be SS bonuses that are not earnable due to act of god, safety issues or other. IF any SS bonuses are deemed unearnable by BMR staff, we will list them publicly and they will not be required to meet the criteria for ZZ200 Page 6 of 112 Big Money Rally 2020 Rev 2020.01.13a DR | 3-Day Rally (aka Gas & Tires) (yes, back by popular demand!) Time Window: YES. 72-hour window each week. Picture-Match Theme This theme is fundamentally the same as last year’s GT theme and comes to you compliments of Gary Andrew. • Big thanks to Gary Andrew for tremendous effort in creating this theme. • Above statement needs to be said twice. • Big thanks to Gary Andrew for tremendous effort in creating this theme. • Gary worked extremely hard to bring you some blockbuster themes in BMR2020, and his efforts to this event are appreciated beyond words.
