Lesser splanchnic nerves form by 10 and 11 roots and end in  coelic ganglion.  Least splanchnic nerve form from 12 rotth and it is renal nerve. The tubercle has a smooth articular part forarticulating with the corresponding transverse process of the vertebra and a rough  nonarticular part for attachment of the costotransverse ligament. The surface of the 1st rib has two transversely directed shallow grooves, anterior and posterior to the scalene tubercle, for the  subclavian vein and the subclavian artery respectively. The intercostobrachial nerve communicates with the medial  brachial cutaneous nerve. The musculophrenic artery gives rise to anterior intercostal  arteries for intercostal spaces. The azygos vein receives blood from the posterior intercostal veins, vertebral venous plexuses, mediastinal veins, esophageal  veins,and bronchial veins. The hemiazygos vein receives blood from the left subcostal vein, ascending lumbar veins,the inferior three posterior intercostal  veins, inferior esophageal veins, and small mediastinal veins . The accessory hemiazygos descends on the left side of the  vertebral column from T5 through T8.
