THE ANGUS COUNCIL (SPEED LIMITS AT A930 DUNDEE – CARNOUSTIE – MUIRDRUM ROAD)(VARIATION) ORDER 201X

Angus Council in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Sections 84(1) and 124(1) of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended (which Act of 1984 is hereinafter referred to as "the Act") and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf and after consultation with the Chief Constable, Police in accordance with paragraph 20(1) of Schedule 9 to the Act hereby make the following Order:-

1. This Order may be cited as "The Angus Council (Speed Limits at A930 Dundee – Carnoustie – Muirdrum Road)(Variation) Order 201X" and shall come into operation on the ** day of ** Two thousand and **.

2. The Order specified in the Schedule to this Order is hereby varied and shall henceforth have effect subject to the amendments thereto specified and described in the said Schedule.

This is the Schedule referred to in the foregoing The Angus Council (Speed Limits at A930 Dundee - Carnoustie - Muirdrum Road)(Variation) Order 201x.

In the ANGUS COUNCIL (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 1999, the Schedule annexed thereto is amended as follows:-

A. In PART II - 30MPH SPEED LIMIT

(1) At Item 5(a) A930 Dundee - Carnoustie - Muirdrum Road

In line 1 for the words ’19 metres’ substitute the words ‘175 metres’ and in line 3 for the words ‘3.7 kilometres’ substitute the words ‘3.9 kilometres’.

B. In PART III - 40MPH SPEED LIMIT

(1) After item 6B. BURNSIDE OF DUNTRUNE insert the following:-

6C. DUNDEE - CARNOUSTIE - MUIRDRUM ROAD, CARNOUSTIE (A930)

From a point 175 metres or thereby north of its junction with Road generally northwards to a point 100 metres or thereby north of the junction of A930 Dundee - Carnoustie - Muirdrum Road with Westhaven Road, a distance of 740 metres.

(2) Item 6C WESTHAVEN ROAD, CARNOUSTIE is renumbered as 6D.
