The Seahawks played their Vs. third overtime game in four outings on Saturday and knocked off Towson, 73-71. The Dukes outlasted Drexel, 75-73, at the JMU Convocation Center. McGrath Colin Bryan (C.B.) McGrath, an assistant coach on The University of North Caro- lina’s 2005, 2009 and 2017 national championship teams, was named the 11th men’s basketball history in UNCW history on April 3, 2017. A native of Indianapolis, McGrath, 42, comes to the coast from UNC, where he spent 14 seasons on Roy Williams’ staff in Chapel Hill. He lettered four years as a point guard under Williams at Kansas and served on his staff in Lawrence for four years before moving with his mentor to the Tar Heel state. McGrath is widely recognized as one of the nation’s foremost recruiters and bench coaches. In addition, McGrath oversaw UNC’s clinics and coached the junior varsity team in Chapel Hill. McGrath’s association with Williams goes back to his days as a walk-on player at Kansas. McGrath earned a scholarship before the start of his freshman season and was a top reserve behind First-Team All-American Jacque Vaughn in 1994-95 and Ryan Robertson as a senior. A North Carolina native, Mr. Gibson played basketball in high school and earned a grant in aid to play at Western Carolina University. He graduated in 1963 and had the opportunity to play in the Pan American games. Mr. Gibson played professional basketball for a year and then turned to coaching.
