Quivey's Grove 6261 Nesbitt Rd Fitchburg, WI 53719 www.quiveysgrove.com Welcome from the President AM PLEASED TO WELCOME YOU to the 31st Great Taste of the Midwest. Sadly, GTOMW has lost two of our long standing vol- unteer organizers since the last GTOMW. Both are well known by many people in Madison. IJamie Cowles, who was tasked with delivering enough ice to keep your beer cold during our event passed away this Spring. Many in Madison knew Jamie from Madison’s music scene. Tim Wong who coordinated bike parking at the even with the Bike Federation passed away earlier this summer. Tim was an advocate for bicycle and bus transportation (among other issues) and was well known to many who attend Madi- son city meetings. We don’t have many changes in store for you as far as the festival itself, the layout is largely the same as last year aside from a few small tweaks that you probably won’t even notice. Please remember this is a non-driving event. The best way to quickly exit the park is to utilize free shuttles or $1 Taxi- cabs (the only way to directly exit Olin Park after GTOMW) and when you pull out your wallet, don’t forget to tip your driver generously for getting you home safely. Please note that the taxi queue will be at the south parking lot, which is directly down the hill from where you entered the festival main gate.

Swingle) are considerably sensitive and lapsible during high-temperature processing of traditional separating techniques. In the present research, vacuum distillation and ultrafiltration were utilized in order to process the concentrated juice from fingered citron, obtaining a high-quality essential oil. Methods: In order to compare the essential oils obtained by conventional means, the chemical compositions of the essential oils were analyzed using GC-MS, before antimicrobial and antioxidant screening assays were carried out. Results: Oil which had been subjected to vacuum distillation was shown to maintain most of the distinctiveness of the fingered citron, due to its high content of characteristic flavor components and low content of cyclic oxygenated monoterpenoids. Interestingly, the oil obtained by ultrafiltration showed notable in vitro antimicrobial activity.

Constanze Reichardt www.seitanismymotor.com [email protected] Introduction For us Christmas season starts two or three days before Christmas. We usually don't bother with the holidays earlier than that. We know we're going to be welcomed in perfectly decorated houses and we just have to fall into line with our families' schedules. We know what's going to happen and when. There's not much to be done for us. Except for baking. Even though my father makes vegan meals during the holidays he leaves the vegan baking to me. Our other relatives also don't do a lot of vegan baking. Therefore, every year before we travel all over Germany, I spend the last few days before Christmas eve in the kitchen. It's messy and chaotic and I usually do five things at a time. But in the end I can leave with a suitcase full of homemade treats to share with family and friends. I am thankful for the fact that the people I care about love my food. I know vegans who have a hard time during the holidays and it's sad to hear that someone refuses your cookie just because you didn't use butter. I have made those experiences too, but most of the time people go out of their way to whip up a vegan treat for me.

September 23th 2020 Universitas Muhammadiyah Prof. DR. The aim of this study is to know the anatomical structure from pericarpium and pome fruit. The sample for pericarpium fruit is apple and pear, while tomato and orange are used for the pome fruit sample. The anatomical structure were observed microscopically using transverse and longitudinal slices of the developing pericarp. The results of this study indicated the presence of stomates on the epidermis tissue and is founded epicarp of pome fruit. Another anatomical structures are supporter tissue i.e. sclerenchyme with lignified sclereides in it, and parenchyma with pigmentation. The anatomical structure of epicarp on pericarpium fruit consisted of epidermis cell, parenchyma cell and secretory cells. Mesocarp of four kinds of fruits consisted of parenchyma tissues that each of the cell contained starch grains with pigmentation (antosianin) and ergastic compounds. There are ergastic compounds i.e. crystal, and atsiri oil substances. Antosianin can be found in apple and tomato fruit skin, whereas pear and orange fruit contained more ergastic substances. The invention from the anatomical research can be associated for the function and the advantage from the plant or something special that affected by adaptation pattern.

While in modern Hebrew this is the name for any variety of citron, its English usage applies to those varieties and specimens used as one of the Four Species.[1] Etymology The romanization as Etrog is according to the Sephardic pronunciation, widely used in Israel through Modern Hebrew.
