1 The Athens Public International Law Center (Athens PIL) was founded in July 2015. It is an academic institution that forms part of the Faculty of Law of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. The mission of Athens PIL is to be a leading research center committed to the study and promotion of International Law. The Centre’s objective is; to contribute to the promotion of International Law through teaching, research and other scientific events; to unite students, academics and practitioners with a keen interest in International Law; to play a pivotal role in the development of International Law through the formation of partnerships with important academic institutions. The Centre’s key activities include expert seminars and meetings on carefully selected topics of International Law and the organization of conferences on topical issues of international character. 1 Welcome to the 1st Virtual Athens FDI PreMoot 2020… Dear all, The recent pandemic has brought the world before a critical change in their lives and requires rapid and thorough adjustment to the new conditions and the applied measures. In the light of the Covid-19 developments, and as our number one priority remains that everyone stays healthy and safe, FDI Moot 2020 goes virtual. We are confident that this new development will not inhibit the interaction between the legal and moot community. On the contrary, it will be seen as a good chance to eliminate distance barriers and foster meaningful dialogue on the hottest topics of investment arbitration. RADIO ACTIVE Lampsi looks set to shine again One of the first stations to successfully blend Greek music with international pop product, SBS-owned AC station Lampsi was the number one music station in Athens until the Greek government closed it down in March 2001. Back on the air since April with a four-year licence, it's having to climb back to the top all over again, as Maria Paravantes reports. n March 2001, Lampsi-Greek for "light" or "glow"-was sitting happily at the top of the music radio ratings table in Athens and the wider Attica region with a 13.7% share of listening. It’s “E1 Reporters”! All the children write articles about different subjects. There are also games, quizzes, etc. I hope you like our paper and enjoy it! Autumn season of Changes by Maria Zaimi Autumn is a very nice season with a lot of changes. The weather always changes and sometimes it’s rainy and sometimes it’s sunny. People don’t wear their summer clothes anymore but they wear warm clothes like jackets, boots and long-sleeved jumpers. The sky is often cloudy and the mood of people also changes. The trees aren’t very green and yellow leaves fall on the ground. Autumn has got three months, September, October and November. Pupils go to school and employees return back to their work. Autumn is a very nice season and I like it because it’s my birthday on September 29th and I love going to school! How we celebrate October 28th by Marina Moustaira We celebrate the 28th of October at school. All the children gather in the hall room and enjoy the show. A class (for example B2) presents the celebration. In the end, all the children clap their hands and the class bow. Then all the kids go out and leave school.
