Going to a

game! We are going to a baseball game. We might have to wait in line to pay for our parking pass. We will park our car in a large parking lot. We might have to wait in line to buy a ticket to the game. Our ticket tells us where we can sit inside the stadium. We might have to wait in line to get into the stadium. We will meet stadium security workers. They are here to keep us safe. They will ask us to put our items in a basket. They will also look through our bags. We will walk through a metal detector. We will hand our tickets to a nice employee to let us in. The Kansas City Royals stadium is called Kauffman Stadium. It is huge and awesome. There will be a lot of people inside the stadium. The concourse might be loud and crowded. We might have to ride an escalator or an elevator to get to our seats. There are also stairs and big spiral ramps. We will find our seats. There will be a lot of people sitting around us. It will be loud. There is a big in the stadium. It plays videos and gives information about the baseball players. The National Anthem will play. We will stand, take off our hats, put our hands on our hearts, and listen just like the players. It is OK to cheer loudly, stand up and clap, and sit back down. Sluggerrr is the team’s mascot. He is nice and funny. If I need a break, there are Quiet Zones in the stadium. There is a play area at the stadium. There will be many other kids playing in this area. If I get hungry, there are lots of choices of food at the concession stands. In the 7th inning, we will sing Take Me Out to the Ballgame. When we are ready to leave, we will walk out of the stadium to find our car in the parking lot. Going to the Kansas City Royals game will be a lot of fun!
