We are really really happy to present July issue of IAP TODAY, monthly news le er of IAP Kerala, because this contains reports from all our 22 branches . Editors and all office bearers are doing excellent work. The ac on plans PIVOT is in full swing. We have given maximum importance to Vamping dormant and semi dormant branches and we have succeeded fully in this venture. "Doctors day" was celebrated in great enthusiasm by all branches. 4th EB was in cochin, one of the most effec ve EB. Immunisa on workshops conducted by almost all branches in kerala so also Central IAP Modules. We were in media almost everyday in july. I'm overwhelmed to see your enthusiasm in celebra ng " ORS week" and spreading the message to the public. We have to keep up the glory and commitment of our academy. Our secretary, web editors and OB are working very hard. Kindly give them more support and apprecia on from your side.I should thank all of you for unanimously sugges ng 4 EB members for central CIAP from kerala. The first week of August has been very ac ve with 238 ac- see our branches especially TVM, Ko ayam, Kollam, vi es done by 21branches with Kozhikode, Trivandrum Cochin, Malanad extending their help to Wayanad, and Thrissur as always lead from the front. Kozhikode and Malappuram. I congratulate the OB and PTA,Thalaserry and Kanhangad had been consistent in members of these branches helping out families in dis- both ORS and WBFW observa on with good number of tress. Salient Features of Family Benefit Society of IAP 1. Society was launched in March 2011 - to offer substan al financial support to the bereaved families of an IAP life member, who has joined FBS. 2. Currently, the benefit amount is 7.6 lakhs to its 2210 members. As more life members of CIAP join FBS, the benefit figure increases. The DEATH BENEFIT figure is a mul ple of Rs. 350 and the number of exis ng alive members in FBS, at the me of a member's death. 3. Family benefit is expected to cross NINE lakhs by end of 2020. Finally, by year 2030, we aim at a disbursement amount of Fi een lakhs. Family's benefit is fully secure, irrespec ve of the Cause of Death - natural, accidental or suicide. 4. Currently, the age-group eligible to join FBS is 25 - 60 years. Admission fees varies from 9,000 at lower age to 46,000 when age reaches 60. 5. A er admission, all the FBS members ARE AT PAR, in all aspects. 6. All members are billed an annual FC bill, generated in considera on of number of deceased FBS members in the previous year. 7. The annual bills in the last 7 years have been Rs3200 as maximum. 8. Annual bills have to be paid for maximum 25 years a er admission, OR ll the member survives - whichever is LESS. 9. The benefit to the families of FBS members (beginning a er one full year of incuba on period) is available ll your LAST BREATH. Basic theme of FBS : During your life me, you regularly contribute a small amount of money towards your deceased FBS colleagues (via the annual FC bill). We covered all areas of our district literally and expressing our sincere thanks to Dr Dr Balachander, state secretary IAP Kerala for giving us such a chance for that wonderful ini a ve. Report of the seventh IAP MALANAD Branch mee ng 02.07.2019 Our seventh IAP mee ng was held on 02.07.19 at Hotel Kabani Interna onal, Muva upuzha. The mee ng was called to order by our president, Dr P C George at 8.30 pm. A er the silent prayer, Dr Ajith welcomed the gathering. Dr Rehna, IAP Secretary presented the minutes of the last mee ng in June.
It was followed by the Presiden al address by Dr P C George sir. We had a small discussion regarding our upcoming Immunisa on CME on June 28, 2019. A detailed and enlightening class on congenital hypothyroidism was given by Dr Abraham Paulose from MOSC Medical College, Kolencherry. There were lots of case scenario based discussion. Session was chaired by Dr George Noble from MOSC Medical college, Kolencherry.
A very short and crisp class on Pyrexia of Unknown origin was taken by Dr.Ajith, Consultant pediatrician from GH,Muva upuzha. Vote of thanks as given by Dr.Rehna.. Twnty four members a ended the mee ng. Mee ng was followed by dinner. IAP MALANAD
