Andre oppgir at de stadig får telefoner fra nye som vil spille. Mye tyder derfor på at tilstrømningen av nye tennis- og padelmedlemmer vil fortsette i 2021. Det er helt vilt, med tanke på rekordåret 2020. Da endte sluttresultatet på nesten 34.000 medlemmer og 14% vekst. Dette resultatet vekker oppsikt både i NIF og media. Begge viser stor interesse og lurer på om dette er en «Casper effekt»? Norsk idrett (NIF) hadde en nedgang på 11% i 2020. Covid-19 får skylden. Dette gjelder ikke for tennis og padel. Våre 2 grener har hatt en eventyrlig vekst under pandemien. Casper Ruud skal selvsagt krediteres for deler av denne suksessen. Samtidig er NTF sikre på at det arbeidet klubber, trenere og frivilligheten har lagt ned over lengre tid, bærer frukter. Norsk tennis og padel har vokst jevnt og trutt siden 2001. Da var medlemstallet på 19.000 tallet. Frivilligheten og ildsjelene er bærebjelken i mye av denne suksessen. De må vi ta vare på, løfte frem og feire. Pass på at vi ikke tar de for gitt. Frivilligheten er miljø- og aktivitetsskapende, og finnes i store og små roller i tennis- og padelklubber. Noen er bidragsytere på enkeltstående turneringer/arrangement. Noen er sponsorer. Andre sitter i styrer, komiteer eller utvalg. Enkelte har uformelle roller og tar initiativ til å male klubbhuset eller fikse vasken i garderobene, uten at noen spør! NTF tilskriver derfor frivilligheten mye av æren for vår fantastiske utvikling og suksess.

Características ITF Junior Circuit: El ITF (International Tennis Federation) Junior Circuit es un conjunto de torneos que se disputan por todo el mundo bajo la supervisión de la ITF. De los resultados de estos torneos se desprende un ranking mundial junior. Este circuito lo integran torneos del prestigio de Roland Garros, Wimbledon, U.S. Open y el Australian Open . Roger Federer fue nº 1 del mundo junior Con este circuito la Federación Internacional de Tenis (ITF) pretende promocionar el deporte del tenis por todos los continentes, así mismo pretende establecer un paso intermedio hacia el profesionalismo, la Federación Internacional de Tenis (ITF) se percató de que cada vez más, en el Circuito Profesional masculino y femenino (A.T.P. – W.T.A.) debutaban jugadores más jóvenes; era indudable que jóvenes de 15 a 18 años no estaban preparados ni eran suficientemente maduros como para afrontar un circuito profesional, donde el nivel de exigencias físicas y psicológicas eran máximas. Ante este problema la Federación Internacional de Tenis (ITF) decidió promocionar un circuito junior donde el máximo exponente serían las cuatro pruebas junior del Grand Slam (Roland Garros, Wimbledon, U.S. Open y Australian Open). El Torneo Internacional Junior de Pontevedra es un torneo de este circuito. Es requisito indispensable para que la ITF incluya este torneo en su calendario que se disputen las categorías masculina y femenina en las modalidades de individuales y dobles.
