'ALMOST LIVE! STILL ALIVE,' A SPECIAL PODCAST SERIES BROADCAST PERSONALITY CATCHES UP WITH THE FORMER CREATORS, CAST AND PERFORMERS OF THE NORTHWEST'S ICONIC TV SHOW
SEATTLE, WA (June 24, 2020) - Pat Cashman, himself a veteran of KING TV's longtime comedy/sketch program, ALMOST LIVE!, hosts a new, limited podcast mini-series - reconnecting with the fabled group who were part of the legendary TV show. In a collection of one-on- one interviews, Cashman drops in on the creative people who originated the weekly must-watch showcase of local satire and hometown laughter from 1984 to 1999 (and in re-runs ever since.)
Each podcast episode features never-before told tales, behind-the-scenes glimpses and intimate discussions of the little local show that ultimately became a juggernaut - finding a national platform on C omedy Central and worldwide syndication. For fifteen years, A LMOST LIVE'S signature sketches, characters and regular departments humorously defined local people, places, businesses, politics, music and culture. T he Lame List, Speed Walker, The John Report, Mind Your Manners with Billy Quan, Roscoe's Rug Emporium, The High-Fivin' White Guys, Capable Woman, Uncle Fran's Musical Forest, The Ballard Driving Academy, The Adventures of Sluggy and G reen River Dance are just a handful of the regular bits and pieces that became Seattle household names.
Get reacquainted with the A LMOST LIVE! band of regulars: John Keister, Tracey Conway, Bill Nye (The Science Guy), Nancy Guppy (Art Zone), Joel McHale (The Soup, Community), Bob Nelson (Oscar-nominated screenwriter of Nebraska), Ross Shafer, Bill Stainton and many more.
