acceleration and achieve a higher force.

used maces. As you can imagine this was difficult, so people started

turning the mace around and using the stick side, didn’t take long

after that for the cue stick to be developed!

15. During the French Revolution Captain Miguel, inventor of the

leather cue tip, was imprisoned but was allowed to have a pool table

in his cell. When the time came for release he actually asked for a

longer sentence to have more time to study the game!

The Mosconi Cup has been an ongoing billiards battle between Team

USA and Team since 1994. As it stands Team USA leads in

wins 11/7 but holds the cup for now. That is until

December 5th where we will reign again as Champion! For those

December 9th Post: 28. 2013 World 9-Ball- Junior and Wheelchair Athletes- begins

today in Johannesburg, South Africa. In 1912, George Sutton, set the

Balkine World Record in billiards! Sutton lost his hands at the age of

8 in a sawmill accident but still rose above to become one of billiards

more famous players!
