Brandon Jay Mclaren (Born October 15, 1982) Is a Canadian Television Actor Brandon Jay McLaren (born October 15, 1982) is a Canadian television actor. He is best known for his roles on Power Rangers S.P.D., Harper's Island and Slasher. He is currently starring in CBS' Ransom. He portrayed Jamil Dexter as a recurring role on TNT's Falling Skies. He also starred as U.S. Customs agent Dale Jakes on Graceland, Marco on Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce, Danny Booker on Chicago Fire and Bennet Ahmed on The Killing McLaren was awarded the Golden Maple Award for Best Actor in a TV series broadcasted in the U.S. in 2015, for his role on Graceland. Bruno Gunn most recently starred opposite James Marsden in the new HBO series Westworld and finished filming the graphic novel based, feature film Officer Downe directed by Shawn Crahan (Slipknot) & producer Mark Neveldine (Ghost Rider & Crank 1&2) which will be released in 2016. He is most recognized for his role as Brutus in the 2013 blockbuster film, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. For more than 10 years he's amassed a lengthy list of roles in TV and film ‐ "True Blood," "Sons of Anarchy," "NCIS: Los Angeles," "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit", "Monk" and Bad Teacher with Cameron Diaz. In 2015 he extends his thespian reach with roles alongside Oliva Wilde in Lazarus, Vatican Tapes directed by Mark Neveldine, and Barely Lethal with Jessica Alba and Samuel Jackson. Bruno got his first taste of Hollywood from film legend, Woody Allen who cast him in the 1998 comedy Celebrity. On the heels with his work with Allen, Bruno landed roles in blockbuster hits co‐starring alongside Hugh Grant in Mickey Blue Eyes and Viggo Mortensen in 28 Days. Through the suggestion of a friend that he should try acting, Bruno honed his skills under the tutelage of Wynn Handman's studio and Susan Batson. While in NYC Bruno had a successful run wowing audiences and critics performing Off‐Broadway shows with award‐winning companies, UBU Rep and Ensemble Studio Theater. Bruno is a first generation American with Italian lineage and dual citizenship. He resides in Los Angeles. Chase Coleman is an American actor, director and musician. Coleman is best known for portraying the character Billy Winslow in the HBO TV series Boardwalk Empire. He was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and raised in Monroe, Louisiana. He first attended Grace Episcopal School for elementary and Junior High education and graduated to Saint Frederick High School. While in his 2nd year of high school he began singing and playing music in his first rock band. Throughout high school he played in the local Monroe, Louisiana rock band Crawl Space until graduation. He attended the University of Louisiana at Monroe majoring in Business Marketing. Throughout college he played in the local band Fallstaff. In his second year in college he began to gain interest in acting. He performed with the Straus Community Theatre and the Theatre of the University of Louisiana at Monroe and during his Junior year of college he signed with the Baton Rouge agency, Stage 2000 recruited by Ron Randell. Coleman was invited to Dallas to compete at the Mike Beauty Model and Talent Expo. It was there that Chase won several awards including best monologue and overall fitness model. He was discovered by talent manager Suzanne Schachter and invited to go to New York to test the market for the summer. He was offered the role of Garrett on One Life to Live. He received many offers of professional acting work and he stayed in New York, shifting to online courses in order to finish his Business Marketing degree. In 2006, he signed with the company Suzelle Eenterprises and Abrams Artists Agency through Paul Reisman. During his time in New York, he studied at the HB Studio with Lorraine Serabien, with Susan Batson at Black Nexxus, and with Jennifer Gelfer at the Haymarket Annex Master Class. Coleman is most recognized for his role as Billy Winslow in Season One of Boardwalk Empire, as well as guest starring on The Good Wife, Gossip Girl, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, and Kings. He has had many starring and supporting roles in independent films such as New York City Serenade, Catahoula, and God Don't Make the Laws. He also played the lead of Andrew in the Off Broadway play My Big Gay Italian Wedding. He founded the production company Bloodstone Productions and created the short film Into the Rose Garden that he wrote, directed, and starred in. Coleman guest starred as Rob in the pilot of the TV Series The Americans in the Summer of 2012, and is scheduled to film Season two of In Between Men in autumn 2012. Micah Parker was born on April 12, 1989 in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA. He is an actor and writer, known for Mob City (2013), The Vampire Diaries (2009) and Thumper (2017).     CHAPTER 1 Organisms and Human Bodies as Contagions in the Post-Apocalyptic State Robert A. Booth n this chapter, I show how discourses of contagion and pollution not only imbue many post-apocalyptic cinema and television narratives but also mirror public discourse about immigration. Further, I examine the often- I 1 racialized immigrant in post-apocalyptic film and television that is, in essence, a discourse on insider–outsider social divisions and relationships of power. Finally, I elucidate the argument that post-apocalyptic film and television rein- force the primacy of centralized political authority, namely the State, and post- 9/11 post-apocalyptic film in particular reinforces the hegemony of the State. The post-apocalyptic subgenre of science fiction and/or horror has become popular fodder for cinema and television. As Susan Sontag notes, “the science fiction film . is concerned with the aesthetics of destruction, with the pecu- liar beauties to be found in wreaking havoc, making a mess. And it is in the imagery of destruction that the core of a good science fiction film lies.”2 Portrayals of the post-apocalypse often index or echo visual memories of terrible societal traumatic events of the past.3 With the experience of the social, political, economic, and emotional trauma of the 9/11 attacks, one might reasonably assume that Americans would acquire a distaste for graphic destructive violence. Certainly, after the attacks, filmmakers occasionally felt pressured to remove images of the Twin Towers or to change content that might evoke the tragedy, such as planes crashing into skyscrapers. However, post-apocalyptic genres remain ever popular in American television and cinema.

These lasses seem content to go through life searching for nothing but a prince. Enchanted certainly winks at all the princess films of yore, but despite its meta-fictional packaging, it's still gooey Disney on the inside. Alison Gooey is right. I've never been much into princesses -- my feminist friends and I often sit around ranting about how bad Disney's princess marketing tactics are for women; princesses are boring and passive, and they never do anything! Surely little girls should be taught to aspire to more than just wearing pretty dresses? I was hoping Enchanted would be a satirical, subversive romp. It wasn't, although it had some clever moments; I loved the New York vermin cleaning up the apartment and the queen's crony questioning his sense of self while watching a soap opera. Also, is there anyone more adorable in the world than Amy Adams? Her character should be cloying and irritating, but she's just so damn charming that she kind of makes the entire film work.
