ORIGINAL FOUNTAINS ARE THE UK'S LATEST FOOD CRAZE Submitted by: Big Wednesday PR Monday, 1 August 2005

Since the premiere of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, parties have been buzzing with their own chocolate factories; even 10 Downing Street has bought into the trend and taken one for its summer party. The UK is about to be hit with chocolate fountain fever. Research by The Original Chocolate Fountain Ltd shows that demand for chocolate fountains has increased over 60% compared to summer 2004. The Original Chocolate Fountains were used in the filming of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory for the opening scenes when Willy Wonka sees a chocolate fountain and is inspired to create a river purely made of liquid chocolate. At the post premiere party celebrities and guests entered Willy Wonka’s factory and made a beeline for the four, metre high tiered fountains, which were in luscious milk, strawberry and white melted courverture . From Johnny Depp to Tim Burton with Graham Norton, Jonathan Ross and Brooklyn Beckham in-between, the fountains were a big hit with both children and adults. Graham Norton was partial to a bit of , whilst Jonathan Ross opted for the perfectly ripe glittered strawberries and Brooklyn Beckham dipped a couple of profiteroles under the gaze of Jacquie Adams – Victoria’s Mum. Brooklyn clearly enjoyed his first strawberry chocolate fountain experience – it was the first thing he ran to - and took a little persuading to see the rest of the party. Harvey Ward of The Original Chocolate Fountain says ‘It’s brilliant, everyone loves chocolate and the sight of melted chocolate flowing down a metre high fountain has brought famous grown men and women literally to their knees at this party.’ Last week The Original Chocolate Fountain Ltd was featured on GMTV for their interactive wedding of the year and fountains are now one of the top ten features at today’s weddings with being a favourite. Presenter Ben Shepherd loved dipping doughnuts into the delicious liquid, and guest on the show Shane Richie ordered one as a gift for Nick Bailey’s wedding (a.k.a. Dr Trueman). With their stunning presentation, The Original Chocolate Fountain Ltd creates the ultimate ‘wow’ factor and the fountains are a great talking point at any occasion. Before seeing a fountain you are gripped by the intoxicating smell of melted Belgian chocolate as the scent permeates the room. A fantastic site to behold, the fountains are freestanding, tiered and a metre high with unique Perspex neon displays and bespoke glassware laden with the highest quality exotic fresh fruit, home-made Devonshire fudge and fresh miniature doughnuts and profiteroles for the ultimate in pleasurable dipping. www.theoriginalchocolatefountain.com - ends - Notes to Editors 1.Harvey Ward and Helen Harper founded the Original Chocolate Fountain in 2003.
