We met with ex-team members, students etc and minds were whirling with old rememberances; each one slipped back into the past and got rejuvenated with the good times spent with each other. On the 3rd of April, we had a meeting of those friends who have been with school, as support from the time of its inception. Many of them traveled from different places to be with us and we are indeed grateful that they spared time out of their busy schedules to be with us. Some came from Kutch-Mandavi, Petlad, Vadodra, and Surat and from different corners of Gujarat, in fact those who could not come, regretted it, and sent their best wishes. Many discussed about the growth of the school, from its inception, what a change there was, in fact some remembered that whatever we had set out to do and mentioned in our Maitri Setu issue no 1, we had fulfilled all those promises made by us. Those who had been really busy in their work and could not visit the school in 15-20 years time were thrilled to see the growth of the school. Many of them wanted to convey their feelings on this occasion but there was not enough time for all of them to speak. As such a canvas was mounted and many of them put down their feelings on the same, which is included in this issue. On the 17th April, there was a get-together of the strongest support of Amity, its parents, On this occasion renowned Educator and Writer – Dr. Gunvant Shah spoke to the parents on ‘Investment in the Child’ and how quality time should be spared for them. Dr. Shah also did the “E-Bhoomi Pujan” of the proposed Library. This library will be a state of the art and will have books in different languages, subjects, reading room, internet room, and will be open to the public of Bharuch. The parent’s heaped praises on the school said that it was a real school of education for the children. More than 1500 parents were present despite it being a Sunday evening. Many leading personalities of the Society also remained present. This is the last issue of Maitri Setu Parent - Teacher Special as a part of the Silver Jubilee Functions. Parents and Teachers have mentioned and written about their experiences with the school. More than 150 articles were received by us and all the teachers have also penned down their feelings. We regret that we have not been able to accommodate many as; if a particular incident had already been written about it was not repeated. The next issue of Maitri Setu will be a compilation in detail of all the programmes done throughout the year. This will be on 11th June, 2011, the day the school enters into the 26th Year. You have always been our silent strength and support and we hope to continue receiving your patronage. - Amity School Parivar VG]@Dl6SF ÊD lJUT 5FGF G\P 01) 5lZJFZG]\ U]Z]S], v zL X{,[Ø V[DP 58[, 1 02) My Experience With My Alma Mater v Mr. Anil Choumal 2 03) NFGGM DlCDF v zLDTL GIGF ZF6F 2 04) V¶lD8L DW;" S,A v DdDLVMGL XF/F v zLDTL SMSL,F 5LP DC[TF 3 05) Education Beyond Books v Ramesh Chinchpure 5 06) 7FGGL ;ZJF6L V¶lD8L v zLDTL EFJGF V[RP 58[, 6 07) Expanded Horizons of Amity v Sreekumar B.
