As Mural Arts continues to redefine muralism in the 21st century, this project was one of its most ambitious and far-reaching yet, including elements such as audio and video, city-wide engagement through paint days, a talkback lecture series, and a pop-up studio. JOHN VARVATOS UNVEILS GARY CLARK JR. AS THE FACE OF THE SPRING 2019 ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN Longtime brand ambassador and friend Gary Clark Jr. is joined by his wife and children in the most personal John Varvatos campaign to date. “We are Indivisible” FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE January 28, 2019, New York, NY – John Varvatos is pleased to announce GRAMMY award-winning artist Gary Clark Jr. as the face of the brand’s Spring 2019 campaign. Famed music photographer Danny Clinch captures Clark in Austin, Texas in his most personal photos for John Varvatos yet. Clinch’s incredible mastery of the camera reveals images with strength and compassion sharing a glimpse into the private life of Gary Clark Jr. and his family. Gary Clark Jr. has been a brand ambassador and a member of the John Varvatos family for years. As an artist, he continues to take the music industry by storm, redefining a genre-bending mix of blues, contemporary soul, and hip- hop. Immortal Technique is a master communicator. Whether on international television intricately dissecting the complicated nuances of Occupy Wall Street for Russia Today , on stage in front of an international crowd of thousands kicking rhymes righteous enough to incite a riot, or in-person, one-one-one talking Trayvon Martin, Roc Raida, and J. Dilla - the Peruvian lyricist connects. He makes the complex seem simplistic; the abstract seem IMAX. That quality alone is arguably the linchpin to his decade long rise as one of Hip Hop’s most respected emcees.

In a recent survey1, Kellogg’s® found that while families love the combination of cereal and milk (93 percent2 eat it regularly), few realize what a nutritious morning meal it can make. Which is why, last week Kellogg’s launched the Recharge Bar in New York City to help educate families on the importance of starting the day with a serving of Kellogg’s cereal and one cup of skim milk to give your body protein and grains to help rebuild and recharge. The Recharge Bar, which was open June, 24-27, was a unique experience for consumers, to help them start the day in an extraordinary way. That included a surprise performance by Emmy-award winning choreographer, Derek Hough. After having a bowl of Kellogg’s Raisin Bran and milk, Hough put his energy into action and revealed the cereal and milk dance move at the Recharge Bar, which can be viewed at www.youtube.com/watch?v=RP1rNaIBO0Q&list=UU-vvba8QkD2fRmHZHT81YDw. More than 4,000 people were in attendance to help rebuild and recharge with protein and grains and got to experience the following throughout the week: Powerful Combinations from celebrity chef, founder and owner of Milk Bar, Christina Tosi – Tosi partnered with Kellogg’s to create a variety of classic and unique Kellogg’s cereal and milk combinations to help people recharge right with a delicious free breakfast.
