2020-2021 Letter from the Chief Executive Officer Dear Leadership Jacksonville Alumni and Friends: The design of this yearbook cover was conceived in the early spring, when in-person programs, meetings and events were the norm. Today as I look at our design I am reminded of the many Zoom screens that continue to bring us together, but in a virtual format. During this time of physical distancing Leadership Jacksonville’s mission to educate, connect and inspire diverse leaders to build and strengthen their communities has continued but program delivery has been very creative. The board, planning teams and staff have looked at everything we do in a new light. How can we be true to our mission, produce quality programming, and operate within our current reality? Jill Langford Dame Chief Executive Officer Our alumni and friends have been incredible. The 52 photos on the cover represent alumni from our LJ 1987 flagship, youth, young professional and new leadership programs as well as honorary alumni. They represent those who have stepped up with creativity, volunteer and financial support – this year and every year. Our alumni have demonstrated their leadership at the very time that Leadership Jacksonville has needed it most. We will continue to need you as the impact of the pandemic continues. Leadership Jacksonville is flexible about how we do things but we remain true to why we do our work. Our community needs educated, connected and inspired leaders - thank you for making that possible.
