LAST SHOE – FROM MUNJ MANHAS Hi Sam, my father (Jaswant “Bunt Manhas) passed away on Sunday April 15, 2018. He battled a brain tumor the past two years and was very ill near the end. He helped, and was a proud supporter of the Victoria horseshoe club in the early eighties with building supplies from his mill; I have many memories of him watching me play as a junior. Bunt was born on June 25, 1936 in Duncan, BC TOM BLIGH BY BRENDA ARNOLD It is with profound sadness that I'm passing on the news that Tom Bligh passed away April 23/18 after a hard fought battle. Our thoughts, love and sympathy go out to Faye, his children and his grandchildren (the lights of his life). We are also thinking of all his Good friends in Sooke. Tom was so involved in all things sport/community no matter where he resided. He was very involved with the Executive of the Victoria Horseshoe Club and was more than active in various activities in Sooke, most recently the start of the Sooke Horseshoe Club. He was an invaluable source of information, know-how and experience in all things "Committee". Just a small reason that he will be missed so much. He loved to share stories and tell a joke or two and was so Proud of the success his grandkids were having pitching shoes.
