Grievance redressal mechanism for faculty, staff and students For Faculty The members of the faculty are entitled to make representations to the grievance redressal committee/ principal through the academic head of the department. The committee / principal inquires about the grievances and makes recommendations to redressal the same. If needed, the same is referred to the board of governors. The grievance redressal committee consists of senior most professors of the institute as members by rotation in the seniority order for a term of 3 years. For Students Students make representation to the heads of various sections like mess supervisors, wardens, controller of examinations, registrar and student’s welfare officer through the academic head of the department. In case of major grievances the students may also approach the principal for necessary action. For Staff The staff grievance are referred to the grievance redressal committee/ principal through the academic head of the department. The committee/ principal inquires about the grievances and makes recommendations to redress the same to the concerned heads like registrar, administrative officer and establishment section in-charge.
