ROBERT KIRBYSON -- WRITER/DIRECTOR

Robert Kirbyson’s feature debut, Snowmen, was inspired by his childhood adventures growing up on the Canadian prairies. Born in Edmonton and raised in Winnipeg, Kirbyson shot his first movie at age 7 and at 19 was working as a self-taught animator for Sesame Street. He would go on to write and direct for several Canadian series before moving to Hollywood in 2005. Among his recent projects, Robert wrote and directed the web series CTRL Z for NBC/Universal. Hailed by critics, CTRL Z is the first stand-alone web series produced by a major network. The comedy is based on Robert’s short Ctrl Z, which won the Delta Shorts Competition presented at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival.

STEPHEN MCEVEETY -- PRODUCER

Mr. McEveety is a 30-year veteran of the film industry. As a former executive at ’s , he has produced some of the most memorable films of all time. Prior to launching Mpower Pictures, he completed an exclusive producing deal with Icon Productions where he executive produced “What Women Want,” “Payback,” “Leo Tolstoy’s Anna Karenina,” “Immortal Beloved,” “The Man Without a Face,” and “Braveheart” (which garnered ten Academy Award nominations and won five, including Best Picture and Best Director). His films have achieved over ninety award nominations and thirty wins, including five Academy Awards.

Additionally, he served as a producer on “Airborne” (which he also wrote), “Paparazzi,” “187,” and “We Were Soldiers.” In 2004, he produced one of the most profitable films of all time, “The Passion of the Christ.” Mr. McEveety resides in Los Angeles with his family.

JOHN SHEPHERD -- PRODUCER

Mr. Shepherd has extensive experience in independent filmmaking as a producer and a studio executive. In his role at Mpower, Mr. Shepherd manages development and production for the company’s slate. Prior to co-founding Mpower Pictures, he produced such award-winning films as “The Ultimate Gift” and “Bobby Jones: Stroke of Genius.” He began his producing career with Worldwide Pictures, where he produced eighteen films, including “The Climb,” “Road to Redemption,” “Something to Sing About,” “A Vow to Cherish,” and “The Ride.” He also served as an executive at DreamWorks in new media. In addition to producing, he has also been a successful film and television actor. He is a graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles and resides in Los Angeles with his wife and three daughters.

DAVID SEGEL -- PRODUCER

Mr. Segel is an entrepreneur with a desire to have a constructive impact on culture through media. He has founded and funded several successful firms, including The Mako Group, which is a global financial services business with expertise in trading products related to market volatility. He serves Mpower Pictures, and its sister company, Mpower Media, as a financier and a strategist. He is the chairman of Mpower Media Worldwide. Mr. Segel is a graduate of Yale University.
