SUBJECT: Commission Revisions to the Team Report The comprehensive External Evaluation Report provides details of the team’s findings with regard to the Eligibility Requirements, Accreditation Standards, and Commission policies, and should be read carefully and used to understand the team’s findings. Upon a review of the External Evaluation Report sent to the College, the Folsom Lake College Self-Evaluation Report, and supplemental information and evidence provided by the College, the following changes or corrections are noted for the Team Report: 1. The Commission finds that the District is not out of compliance with Standard III.C.1, and that Standard reference should be removed from District Recommendation 1. 2. The Commission finds that District Recommendation 3 should be written as a recommendation to meet Standards rather than an improvement recommendation. 3. The Commission finds that the District is not in compliance with Standard IV.B.2 and has added that Standard to the citation in District Recommendation 3.

Introductions 5 minutes Beach Committee members introduced themselves and explained their interests. 4. Accreditation Paper 5 minutes Beach The committee wrote a paper on effective practices in 204-2015. We will submit a resolution for FA 15 plenary to have the body approve the resolution. Randy will send to committee with minutes. 5. CCCCO’s Task Force Report 5 minutes Beach The committee discussed initial responses to the on Accreditation task force’s report. 6. Accreditation Institute 10 minutes Beach Committee discussed potential partners and breakout topics for the AI. Discussed partnering with RP Group or Lumina Foundation. Randy will take to EXec which decides partners with ASCCC. Potential topics include: 1. BA degrees pilot and accreditation 2. Institutional Effectiveness Partnership 3. Past Resolutions that have not been addressed. Randy will send outstanding resolutions to committee with minutes. 7. Potential Workshops for Fall 15 minutes Beach General Session: The CCCCO’s Task Force on Plenary (November 5-7) Accreditation Report This general session would discuss the report and its implications. Ideally this would be with the CCCCO. This would be accompanied by a breakout on the same topic for deeper discussions.

June 29, 2021 VIA EMAIL Dr. Brian King, Chancellor Los Rios Community College District 1919 Spanos Court Sacramento, CA 95825 RE: Los Rios Community College District’s Failure to Meet AB 705 Requirements, Disproportionately Impacting Black and Latinx Students Dear Dr. King: On behalf of Keishaun Turner, a resident of the Los Rios Community College District, and others similarly situated, we are writing to express our concern that Los Rios Community College District (“LRCCD”) is not meeting its obligations under AB 705.1 Mr. Turner is a current student at Cosumnes River College who has been trapped in pre-transfer math classes since Spring 2019.2 As you know, AB 705 transformed community college placement and remediation in English and mathematics by effectively eliminating placement assessments, requiring the use of multiple measures to place students, and most importantly, requiring colleges to “maximize the probability that a student will enter and complete transfer-level coursework in English and mathematics within a one-year time frame.” See Cal. Educ. Code § 78213(d)(1)(A) (West 2020). California Community Colleges 2015-16 Flexible Calendar Activity Submission Form Flexible Calendar Activity Submission Form This is the Flexible Calendar Activity Online Submission Form for the California Community Colleges. This online submission process is used to collect information about the planned activities for the 2015-16 Flexible Calendar year. The purpose of the Flexible Calendar program is to provide compensated time for faculty to participate in professional development activities that are related to “staff, student, and instructional improvement” (title 5, section 55720). The Flexible Calendar Certification Form FC-001, was sent to the Flexible Calendar Coordinator and the Chief Instructional Officer under separate cover and is the official certification form for the college. It will need to be completed and signed with original signatures by three people: Flex Calendar Coordinator, Chief Business Officer, and Chief Instructional Officer.
