ABOUT RIOT FEST

Riot Fest is a punk, rock, and alternative formed in Chicago in 2005. The tour features hundreds of acts and diverse, friendly audiences. Community vendors will have the opportunity to have booth locations in General Admission (GA) areas to 50,000 attendees per day. VIP Areas have up to 8,000 attendees per day.

APPLIANCE INVENTORY In an effort to increase the reliability of electricity, we require applicants to list every appliance they plan to use in their booth space. This includes anything that needs power to work. Anything that does not have a 3 prong plug (110v household) must be detailed with a picture of the appliance and the plug included in your returned application.

I understand that Riot Fest hours of operation are from 3pm-10pm Thursday &11am-10pm Friday- Sunday.

I understand that if I do not provide a detailed and accurate staff list to StarEvents on or before September 3, 2021 that my staff member may not be able to enter the festival.

I understand that there will be a fire inspection that will take place at some point during Riot Fest. I must have a K rated fire extinguisher on-site at all times. I will not have more than 2 propane tanks on-site not exceeding a combined weight of 100lbs unless supplied by the single source propane supplier, KEP Propane.

I understand that if I have not purchased the beverage option I may not sell any prepackaged beverages such as soda, energy drinks, etc. If I am found to be selling product and have not purchased the beverage option, I will have my sales category deposit cashed.

I understand that the Ground Maintenance Deposit ($500) will be cashed if I damage any property on the Riot Fest grounds or drive on the grass.

I understand that the Equipment Deposit ($500) will be cashed if there is a failure to return equipment, or if any piece or part of equipment is damaged or missing. Deposit check will be cashed and any remaining balance will be refunded to the vendor by check.

I understand that the Sales Deposit ($1000) will be cashed if I am found selling under any of the following circumstances: I continue to sell product after curfew. I am selling items not previously approved by Riot Fest. I am found roaming or selling product outside of my booth space. I am selling prepackaged beverages other than water without purchasing the beverage option. I agree to run my operation only in the booth space provided.

Wristband Deposit ($500) All vendor wristbands will be marked with an identification number to each vendor booth. If vendor is found to be selling, or in any way tampering with, or affixing wristbands to persons who are not associated with the vending operation, the wristband deposit will be cashed, the vending operation will be shut down and asked to leave the premises without refund.

I understand that Riot Fest has the right to search any vehicles, packages, and booth spaces.

I understand that vehicles cannot be parked on the streets bordering the park: Ogden, California, Albany, 19th. I know there will be a Chicago Police Dept team tasked with ticketing and towing those parked on these streets.

I understand that full payment must be made within (7) days of the acceptance email, or no later than one week before the start of the event, whichever is earlier.

I will provide payment for propane no later than 2 weeks after I receive an invoice. If not the balance of the account will be charged to the credit card on file.

PRE-EVENT FEES

Booth Space, Equipment, & Service Fee — The package fee is generated from the rental costs of equipment and services provided by Riot Fest. The costs of additional equipment and services will be added on to the package fee. If accepted into the event, fee will be NON-REFUNDABLE and will be cashed upon confirmation. Reference Vendor Space Options for a detailed list of equipment and service costs.

DEPOSITS

DEPOSIT CHECKS ARE NEVER CASHED UPON RECEIPT. Checks are only cashed if vendor is found to be in direct violation of the terms and conditions appearing in this application. Vendor will be notified prior to the cashing of any deposit checks or payment. Upon conclusion of the event, money orders will be returned and checks will be destroyed.

Ground Maintenance Deposit ($500) will be cashed if Participant is found to be in violation of any of the following conditions: 1) if vehicle wheels are found on any portion of the grass without ground cover. Participant must make sure that pavement is always under vehicle wheels. The Chicago Parks District requires strict adherence to this stipulation. 2) Roping, tying, or in any way affixing signs or advertisements to any park property is prohibited.

Equipment Deposit ($500) will be cashed if there is a failure to return equipment, or if any piece of part of equipment is damaged or missing. Deposit check will be cashed and any remaining balance will be refunded to the vendor by check.

Sales Deposit ($1000) will be cashed if Participant is found selling under any of the following circumstances: 1) Vendor continues to sell product after curfew. 2) Vendor is selling items not previously approved by Riot Fest. 3) Vendor is found roaming or selling product outside of their booth space. 4) Vendor runs their operation outside of the booth space provided. 5) Vendor is selling prepackaged beverages other than water without purchasing the beverage option.

Wristband Deposit ($500) All vendor wristbands will be marked with an identification number to each vendor booth. If vendor is found to be selling, or in any way tampering with, or affixing wristbands to persons who are not associated with the vending operation, the wristband deposit will be cashed, the vending operation will be shut down and asked to leave the premises without refund.

Checks will be cashed in the following events: rented equipment is damaged or not returned by the exhibitor; vehicles are driven on park grass; if found selling items that are not previously approved by Riot Fest; found selling items after curfew; found selling outside of the booth space; or if vendor wristbands are affixed to anyone other than vending staff.

PROPANE

Required Propane Supplier — In compliance with The City of Chicago and The Fire Department propane must be supplied through a uniform company. Please reference attached KEP Propane Form to learn about the procedure and costs associated with this practice. Vendors will not be allowed to participate if found using any other propane. The vending operation will be immediately shut down without refund.

The Participant hereby submits its application to receive onsite Rights in the Food category for RIOT FEST to be held on September 16th-19th, 2021. By submitting this application, the participant acknowledges that its application may be accepted or rejected by Riot Fest Corporation in the exercise of its sole discretion and that, if your application is accepted, your participation will be subject to the terms and conditions contained herein.

Applications must be received by application deadline. Applications received after the deadline can also be considered for acceptance. A $50 late application fee will apply. Once "Sold Out" if stated on the website under event, the event will not accept any other applications.

EVENT DETAILS

Riot Fest will take place at Douglas Park at 1401 S. Sacramento Dr., Chicago, IL. Riot Fest Corporation shall have the right to control all aspects of the Riot Fest food vendor acceptances and all menu offerings of its food vendors.

Participation – The Participant desires to participate in Riot Fest by providing food and/or beverages to our general public. If the Participant’s application is accepted by Riot Fest Corporation, the Participant agrees to offer only those items listed on the application, no other menu items will be permitted without prior written consent of Riot Fest Corporation. The Participant agrees to not sell or distribute merchandise that includes the event logo, the term “Riot Fest”, “RF”, or any other likeness associated with our event without prior written consent of RIOT FEST.

Hours of Operation – The Participant agrees to remain open for business between the hours of

Thursday, September 16 - 3PM to 10PM Friday, September 17 – 11AM to 10PM Saturday, September 18 – 11AM to 10PM Sunday, September 19 – 11AM to 10PM

We ask all participants to remain open for the duration of the event hours. Participants may begin to close their operation 1 hour before the advertised close of the Event. Exceptions for hours of operation may be made. Please notify us 30 days in advance if you foresee a need to close your operation early. In the event an early closure is granted, participant must remove operations by hand or cart. Vehicles are not allowed on venue during event hours under any circumstances. Anyone found selling food/ concessions AFTER CURFEW will forfeit their $1000 sales deposit.

Set-Up Operations - The Participants shall remove all vehicles and other items used in conjunction with setting up for event at least two (2) hours prior to the start of the event.

The participant will forfeit the assigned space if unoccupied on Thursday, September 16th at 10AM. A logistics letter will be delivered to all exhibitors on or before September 6, 2020 with instructions on load-in, load-out, directions, rules, regulations, and all details necessary to participate in the event. GENERAL POLICIES

The Participant agrees to conduct its business in a manner most likely to enhance the success of Riot Fest and the reputation of Riot Fest Corporation. In the event that Riot Fest Corporation shall determine, in the exercise of its sole discretion, the Participant is acting in a manner detrimental to Riot Fest or Riot Fest Corporation. Riot Fest Corporation may expel the Participant from Riot Fest and the Participant shall forfeit its entry fee. In the event the Participant is dismissed from Riot Fest, they will be asked to vacate booth space immediately, take all belongings and may not be allowed to participate onsite for the remainder of the Event. Participant may be dismissed or removed from Riot Fest if found to be in violation of any Terms and Conditions. Refunds will not be given to Participants who are removed and/or in violation of the Terms and Conditions.

Acceptance — Riot Fest Corporation will notify each participant if they are accepted or rejected by email to the email address listed on the application no later than (7) days after the application deadline. If accepted, payment will be processed within the next seven (7) business days. In the event that the participant's application is rejected, they will not be charged and checks will be destroyed. On email stating the receipt of an application does not confirm nor guarantee acceptance. On application will not be accepted without all necessary paperwork. Acceptances will be sent pending payment in full within (7) days of the acceptance email, or no later than one week before the start of the event, whichever is earlier. There is no daily rate, and discounts will not be given to participants who forfeit their booth space. Riot Fest Corporation will file the appropriate licenses for this application. Riot Fest Corporation does not guarantee exclusivity to any Participant, nor has the Participant relied upon any representation or guarantee of Riot Fest Corporation regarding the revenues to be generated by the Participant.

Refunds — NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. However, throughout the season, full refunds will be made to participants on an ongoing basis if the participants requested a corner space, a double booth space, or electricity but the request could not be met. Refunds will NOT be issued from Riot Fest if the participant is dismissed, booth space is forfeited, or participant is in violation of any of the Terms and Conditions. Refunds will NOT be issued if the event is faced with inclement weather, acts of God, acts of governmental agencies or any situation Riot Fest Corporation deems to threaten the safety of patrons or exhibitors. Refunds will not be issued if participant fails to receive necessary approval from City of Chicago and Cook Co. Department of Public Health. Refunds will not be granted on booth space fees if any requested equipment is not delivered by Riot Fest Corporation contractors, only the fees charged from the equipment rental will be returned. No revenues are guaranteed or implied by the Riot Fest Corporation in connection with participation in the event.

Legal Liability & Insurance: The participant shall comply with all local, federal, state and municipal laws and ordinances in operation of its booth during the event and shall insure its merchandise against loss by theft or damage. The participant hereby releases Riot Fest Corporation, its officers, directors, and member from any and all claims, and agrees that Riot Fest Corporation, its officers, directors, and member shall have no responsibility for, personal injury sustained by the Participant, its agents or employees, or damage to, or loss or destruction of, the Participant’s property. The participant further

agrees to indemnify and hold Riot Fest Corporation, its officers, directors, members, and employees harmless from and against any and all claims for personal injury, damage to property or theft occuring in or about the Riot Fest area, whether to the Participant, its agents or employees or any third party, caused in part or in whole by the participation of the Participant in Riot Fest. Riot Fest reserves the right to contact the insurers for verification of the insurance.

Event Access – The number of vendor wristbands provided to staff members will be determined upon your requested vendor space. Reference wristband amounts on application attached. Failure to submit names may result in the forfeit of any unclaimed passes. Any additional passes must be purchased at price equal to current retail price of general admission tickets.

Conduct –All vendor booths and load-in vehicles inside the venue are subject to search by event security at any time. Any vendor staff found to be storing, transporting, selling or facilitating the sales of illicit substances or involved in any illegal activity will be immediately ejected from the festival and turned over to the Chicago Police Department. In addition, the entire vendor operation and staff associated with the violator will be immediately ejected from the event and will lose all rights to fees and deposits. We reserve the right to search any and all packages and vehicles entering or exiting the festival, booth spaces, and persons inside the venue at any time.There is absolutely zero tolerance for illegal activity at Riot Fest.

Indemnification - Vendor hereby indemnifies and holds harmless Riot Fest, StarEvents and their parent, subsidiary, and affiliate companies, and each of their respective officers, directors, members, employees, representatives, successors, agents and assigns, and such other parties reasonably requested by Company, including, without limitation, governmental authorities (collectively, the "Indeminfied Parties") from and against any and all third party claims, losses, liabilities, suits, damages, causes of action and costs (including reasonable court costs, expenses and third party legal fees and suffered or incurred by the Indemnified Parties arising out of, connected with, or as a result of: (i) Vendor or any Vendor's representatives, independent contractors, employees, agents, and assigns' negligence: and/or (ii) Vendor or any of Vendor's representatives independent contractors, employees, agents, and assigns' actions or omissions in connection with the event or breach of this agreement or any of Vendor's representations and warranties hereunder, except for those liabilities, damages and expenses arising from the gross negligence and/or willful misconduct of Riot Fest. Riot Fest and/or any party related thereto shall not be responsible for any damage or loss to any of Vendor's property or equipment. In addition, Vendor, on behalf of itself and all parties related to Vendor, does expressly release Riot Fest and all parties related to Riot Fest from all claims for loss, damage, or injury arising from any cause whatsoever.

APPLICATION DETAILS

Changes to Application – If Participant wishes to change their application, they must submit a new application with the changes clearly indicated. Any changes via phone will not be permitted. All changes must be made by August 12th, 2021.

Application Deadline: July 30th, 2021 – Applications received by July 30th, 2021 will be considered for acceptance to Riot Fest and will receive confirmation on or before August 6, 2021

BOOTH REQUIREMENTS

If the Participant’s application is accepted, the Participant may be assigned a space within Riot Fest area with the approximate square footage of 10 feet by 20 feet or 20 feet by 20 feet. All merchandise, equipment and materials MUST fit inside the assigned space. Display and storage outside of allocated booth space is not allowed (this includes pop-up tents behind your assigned tent space). If available, additional space may be made available by Riot Fest Corporation upon receipt of the Participant's application, at an additional cost to be determined by Riot Fest Corporation. The location of the Participant’s space within Riot Fest area shall be determined by Riot Fest Corporation in the exercise of its sole discretion, and reserve the right to adjust the venue prior to the event. The Participant agrees to accept the space assigned by Riot Fest Corporation. The Participant agrees to conduct its business only within the space assigned by Riot Fest Corporation.

Signage: All signage must be clean and properly placed. Riot Fest Corporation has the right to ask you to remove signage if not presented in the appropriate manner. Signage may not be flown or raised above the tent canopy and sign pole. By order of the Chicago Fire Department, any signage may not go higher than 3ft above tent crossbar.

Sound Restrictions – Participant agrees to not have amplified sound of any type within booth. Participants with amplified sound may be asked to vacate space and will not receive a refund Amplified sound has been determined to create conflict with adjacent participants. Please respect your neighbors.

Electricity – Electricity is only to be provided by Riot Fest Corporation. You will be provided the amount listed on the Vendor Space Options page. You may purchase more for an additional fee. Edison plugs only. Participants will be restricted from using personal generators due to noise, exhaust, and other factors. Participants that are found using our electrical sources without prior payment will have Equipment Deposit checks cashed with remaining balance refunded after electrical fees are deducted from the deposit.

Maintenance – The Participant will be solely responsible for cleaning their area and putting refuse in dumpsters. The Participant shall maintain its space in a neat, clean, and sanitary condition during Riot Fest. Participant will be required to recycle and dispose of all trash produced by their operation. There will be additional space behind all booths for hand washing stations and refuse. Specific maintenance and sanitation operations will be provided to all participants at the Event. Failure to adhere to recycling policies may result in dismissal from Riot Fest. Participant will clean their space to original condition during tear down or they will be charged a $50 clean up fee.

Parking & Vehicle Storage – All vehicles must be removed from venue two hours prior to start time. Street parking may be available as well as pay parking operations. Riot Fest is not responsible for providing parking to vendors. Any vendor vehicles left on venue or parked within street closures obtained for Riot Fest will be towed. No vehicles are allowed inside venue during operation hours. ABSOLUTELY NO VEHICLES MAY BE DRIVEN ON PARK GRASS as in accordance with Chicago Park District policy. Failure to adhere to this policy will result in the forfeit of the $500 ground maintenance deposit.

Booth Security – The Participant will be solely responsible for any items left overnight in booth space. Off duty police will patrol the grounds overnight on Thursday September 16th, Friday September 17th, and Saturday September 18th, but will not be able to watch all spaces at all times. RIOT FEST is not responsible for any items lost, stolen, or damaged in booth space.

We reserve the right to search any and all packages and vehicles entering or exiting the festival, booth space, or persons inside the venue at any time.

Fire Extinguishers – Fire extinguishers must be visible and accessible at all times. Vendors must have a fully charged ABC “Kitchen” Fire Extinguisher in booth at all times.

Inspections – Vendors will be inspected ON-SITE by the City of Chicago Health Department AND the City of Chicago Fire Marshall.
