RECOMMENDATIONS It is recommended that: 1.1 Council approve the proposed revised schedule of polling districts and polling places as detailed at Appendix 1 to report number LDS061. 1 1.2 That the Chief Executive, as Returning Officer for South Kesteven, be granted delegated authority in consultation with Ward Councillors to determine polling places in the event that a polling place becomes unavailable during an election period. 2. PURPOSE OF THE REPORT 2.1 Under the Representation of the People Act 1983, the Council has a duty to divide the district into polling districts and to designate a polling place for each of these districts. The Electoral Administration Act 2006 requires the Council to carry out a review of these polling districts and polling places every four years as a minimum.
