California Community Colleges 2015-16 Flexible Calendar Activity Submission Form Flexible Calendar Activity Submission Form This is the Flexible Calendar Activity Online Submission Form for the California Community Colleges. This online submission process is used to collect information about the planned activities for the 2015-16 Flexible Calendar year. The purpose of the Flexible Calendar program is to provide compensated time for faculty to participate in professional development activities that are related to “staff, student, and instructional improvement” (title 5, section 55720). The Flexible Calendar Certification Form FC-001, was sent to the Flexible Calendar Coordinator and the Chief Instructional Officer under separate cover and is the official certification form for the college. It will need to be completed and signed with original signatures by three people: Flex Calendar Coordinator, Chief Business Officer, and Chief Instructional Officer. It is a communication vehicle for recommendations and proposals that come through the participatory governance system and serves as a clearinghouse for college-wide information. The information presented is based on a review of publications, theses and dissertations, and interviews with professionals working in the field. The objective of this article is to raise awareness and interest in the many chapters that make up the history of psychology. Clinical psychology in Puerto Rico can reach new heights if its practitioners are aware of its history. Such awareness enables the creation of a socially informed discipline, firmly and conscientiously placed within the rich contexts of Puerto Rico. Universidad Carlos Albizu: A 40 años de su fundación Salvador Santiago-Negrón, Teresa Albizu, Maribel Figueroa-Rodríguez, Lourdes García, Edgar Rentas y Gerardo Rodríguez Universidad Carlos Albizu, Recintos de San Juan y Miami Resumen n este artículo se relata brevemente la historia de la Universidad Carlos Albizu (UCA), en sus recintos de San Juan y Miami, desde su fundación en 1966. En este escrito se describe el desarrollo Eprogresivo de esta institución a lo largo de 40 años de fundación. Su desarrollo comenzó con el programa de maestría clínica y fue aumentando su ofrecimiento académico a otras especialidades de maestría, grados doctorales, y programas de bachillerato. En este recuento, se describe cómo su excelencia académica se ha complementado con su necesidad de convertirse en activista para cambiar políticas públicas que le hacen daño a los grupos vulnerables de nuestra sociedad y ha creado proyectos innovadores en colaboración con agencias gubernamentales, tales como: el Departamento de la Familia y el Departamento de Corrección . Finalmente, se expone el compromiso académico de la UCA con la construcción de saberes, a través de la creación de su Instituto de Investigación Científica y con el compromiso con los grupos más vulnerables en los servicios que presta en las Clínicas de Salud Mental de la Comunidad en ambos recintos. It describes the Tprogressive development of the institution throughout the 40 years since its foundation, starting with the Masters Program in Clinical Psychology and following the programmatic growth to other Masters specialties, doctoral degree programs and undergraduate programs.
