ROCKFORD BOARD OF EDUCATION INVITATION FOR BID ON SUPPLIES, MATERIALS, EQUIPMENT OR SERVICES FOR SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 205 ROCKFORD, ILLINOIS IFB No. 21-01 Printing of Student Handbook and Code of Conduct DATE: June 17, 2020 RE: ADDENDUM NO. 1 To All Bidders: Included are modifications, clarifications and/or corrections for the Project Manual and are hereby made a part of the contract documents. Please attach this addendum to the Project Manual(s) in your possession. Please note the receipt of this addendum on the bid form. Bidders shall review changes to all portions of this work as changes to one portion may affect the work of another. If you plan to hand deliver your IFB submission on the due date, please note you must check in on the 2nd floor prior to coming to the bid opening. Please allow time for this as late submission will not be accepted. Refer all questions relative to the business aspect, Instructions to Bidders, Special Conditions, and questions concerning the technical aspect of the documents to the Director of Purchasing by email at [email protected]. CLARIFICATIONS This addendum includes Requests for Information (RFI) to date, corresponding answers, and samples of the Student Handbook and Code of Conduct. ROCKFORD BOARD OF EDUCATION By: Dane Youngblood Director of Purchasing CLARIFICATIONS Below are Requests for Information (RFI) to date and corresponding answers. 1. What format will the handbooks and code of conduct books come over in? Will they already be designed? What program? a. The handbooks and codes of conduct will be provided in PDF format. They will already be designed via Microsoft Word. 2. On the handbook, what color ink does the cover print in and is it 1-sided or 2-sided? a. Black, 2-sided. 3. On the handbook, what color ink does the body print in? a. Black. 4. For the code of conduct, it is clear that the text prints 3/3 and the cover prints 4/1. However, for the student handbooks there is no indication how it prints. Can you clarify? a. The student handbooks are to be printed the same – 3/3 for the text and 4/1 for the cover. 5. For the student handbook – what is the ink used? All black? All color? a. Black. 6. Is a slight trim to 8.375” x 10.875” acceptable? a. No. 7. Can you please confirm that the student handbook is printed in 1/1? a. Yes. 8. How many 11x17 pages does each book have? a. 21 pages for the Student Handbook and 14 pages for the Code of Conduct. 9. What does 67# EVB mean a. 67# Exact Vellum Bristol. 10. Are the books in color or black and white? a. Black. Rockford Public Schools focuses on college and career readiness for all of its students.
