TOURNAMENT INFORMATION BENDIGO | WEST | NORTH | GIPPSLAND | SOUTH | EAST WELCOME SCOTT JAMIESON, MELBOURNE CITY FC PLAYER Thanks to McDonald’s, you are taking part in the first ever Macca’s City Cup. Today is going to be a big day of football, with loads of prizes on offer and the chance to progress to the Finals in October! When I was a kid I used to play football every spare moment I had – I could never have dreamed that I would end up playing in England, Sweden, and all over Australia, or for the Socceroos. Maybe there is someone here today who might end up playing professionally! Football is the best way to make new friends, have unique experiences, and keep your mind and body really healthy. It can also teach you lots of other things that you don’t always think about. You have to work as a team on the pitch, but also to support your teammates off the pitch. You can learn how to be a good winner, and also how to deal with the times when you don’t win. Today, I hope that you will work hard, support your team, and make the people who are supporting you today proud too! The most important thing is that you have fun, and maybe you could meet some new friends too. On behalf of everyone at Melbourne City FC, good luck to everyone taking part, I hope you all have a great day. STEVE SHILLINGTON, McDONALD’S FRANCHISEE Welcome to the 2018 Macca’s City Cup! On behalf of McDonald’s Victoria, it’s our pleasure to welcome all teams, coaches and their families participating in the inaugural Macca’s City Cup in 2018.
