His reputation was confirmed with All-Australian honours in 1994, his second year in the AFL.

Ricciuto would go on to achieve the honour an amazing eight times, an AFL record, while he was also selected as captain twice.

In 1998, Ricciuto was a key member of Adelaide’s back-to-back premiership side, winning his first of three club best and fairests.

The year was also marked with selection in the Australian International Rules team to take on Ireland.

Ricciuto is also still connected to the Adelaide Crows as current board member of the club.

Along with providing special comments for Triple M Football, in 2011 Ricciuto joined the all-star line-up of the Fox Footy commentary team.

A successful publican and hotelier, Ricciuto resides in Adelaide with his wife Sarah and their six children.

In 2009 Mark became involved in fundraising committee for The Cancer Council of South Australia – Flinders Lodge.

In total, $170,000 was raised resulting in a major renovation and a new recreation centre, which provides patients and families with a fun area to brighten their days.

Mark has also been involved in raising money for the Calvary Hospital and the Little Heroes Foundation.
