ANG Proposes No Further Action at 155th Air Refueling Wing Lincoln Municipal Airport The Air National Guard (ANG) will hold a Public Meeting at the Williams Branch Library, 5000 Mike Scholl Street, in Lincoln, Nebraska, on Wednesday, August 24, 2011, at 6:30 p.m. to discuss the Proposed Plan for Installation Restoration Program (IRP) Sites 1 through 10, and 13, located at the Nebraska Air National Guard, 155th Air Refueling Wing (ARW) at the Lincoln Municipal Airport in Lin- coln, Nebraska. Various releases to soil and/or groundwater have occurred or were suspected at ARW IRP Sites 1 through 10, and 13. Soil and groundwa- ter investigations and applicable corrective action activities were conducted at IRP Sites 1 through 10, and 13 from 1983 through 2010. As a result of these activities, it is the ANG’s and Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality’s (NDEQ’s) current judgment the Preferred Alternative of No Further Action for IRP Sites 1 through 10, and 13 is appropriate to protect public health, welfare, and the environment. The Proposed Plan identifi es the preferred No Further Action alternative for the public to comment on. ANG and NDEQ welcome the public’s comments on the Proposed Plan. The formal public comment period begins on August 8, 2011 and ends on September 7, 2011. ANG and NDEQ will choose the fi nal remedy after taking public comments into account.
