It is sad that instead of a festival, this special issue has to be in memory of Shlomo, who was tragically killed riding his bicycle while on sabbatical with Lynn Robertson in UC Berkeley in July 2012, at his prime, only weeks after receiving Israel's most distinguished honor for his ongoing scientific achievements, the Israel Prize in Psychology.
