Pdf Financial Indicator Graphs 2013 Generated for: LACOMBE COUNTY Financial Indicator Graphs Introduction The financial indicator graphs are intended to serve as a tool that may assist council and administration with operational decisions. The comparative measures may be useful in assessing past performance and for budget planning. Each municipality is compared to a group of similar size urban municipalities, or to rural municipalities with similar tax base. The comparison group is shown on the last slide. Custom graphs can be created comparing your municipality to other Alberta municipalities. Financial Advisory Services is available to assist you in interpreting the information contained in the graphs. Please be aware that advisors will not have access to any of the custom graphs you create, but would still be able to assist with the underlying formulas and data used to create all graphs. It should be noted that that the financial indicator graphs are point-in-time documents. The system is updated daily as new information is added to the municipal financial database. As such graphs will reflect the current data set and the results will be subject to change as the database is updated and verified. However, most information from the previous reporting year will have been posted by the fall of the subsequent year. Other points to note are: - The range for most of the graphs is 2008 to 2013. - Equalized assessment is shown for the period 2009 to 2014. - Caution should be used when interpreting results as each municipality has unique characteristics affecting how it compares to the group. Also, circumstances may have changed since the December 31, 2013 reporting date. • Alberta Custom Rates Survey : Crop and Pastureland Lease and Rental 2016
Alberta Custom Rates Survey Crop and Pastureland Lease and Rental 2016 Economics and Competitiveness Branch INTRODUCTION This Custom Rate Survey was conducted by Alberta Agriculture and Forestry, Economics and Competitiveness Branch, Statistics and Data Development Section. The data presented in this report was obtained by contacting producers and custom operators and thus represent actual charges. Please note that some instances may be “good neighbor rates” as opposed to commercial rates. The reader should be aware that varying lease and rental arrangements in different areas of the province could significantly affect the rates charged from year to year. The intent of the survey is to provide producers with additional information to help with their farm management decisions. The quality of data is dependent on the cooperation received by producers as well as commercial custom operators. We would like to thank all the survey participants who willingly provided the information for this report. If you are aware of anyone who is a custom operator that has not been contacted, but wish to participate in the survey, please do not hesitate to refer them to me. The assistance of Reynold Jaipaul, Roy Larsen, Guangzhi Liu, Melodie Mynzak, Marian Elson and Pamela Triska of Alberta Agriculture and Forestry is greatly appreciated. It provides a snapshot of the current condition of the environment and the pressures that impact it. This document examines the state of the environment in Lacombe County through a scientific and socio-economic planning structure. The scientific approach focuses on analysing available data to identify and assess changes in the environment over time. The planning approach uses social norms to compare and rank alternative choices, to balance environmental, economic and social objectives, and to initiate management options. The report outlines community perception, scientific data, current environmental legislation and environmental extension programs. It is a compilation of information gathered from various sources and provides us with a baseline. It does not include management recommendations or future planning considerations. This document is a snapshot in time; it represents only the data that is available at the time of writing. Lacombe County is located in Central Alberta, straddling six towns and villages and bordering five counties.
