Where is the year going! We are busy gearing up for the end of seasons for all our teams and for our top senior teams to go to tournament week. We will start asking students to register for junior summer sports from week 4 onwards with junior volleyball teams hoping to start trials in week 5. If you are interested in coaching a junior team please let me know, [email protected]. All students will be asked to take part in the Sport New Zealand ‘Voice of Rangatahi’ survey. The purpose of this survey is to understand the experiences rangatahi (young people) have with physical activity (sport, PE, recreation, or exercise) whilst at school. The player of the day was Robbie Shakespeare who was great on defense and was also a key member of the team's attack. Sports Hoodies Our new sports hoodies have now arrived. Students can come to the Sports Office to be sized for one if they are playing in a sports team or if they played in one in term 1. Once a student has chosen their size we will place the $65.00 charge on their school account. The hoodie will not be ordered until payment has been received. Orders will be placed on a Friday with any payments received before 11am Friday being placed that week. Uniform Playing uniform is not to be used during PE lessons. Students need to bring clothes that are not playing uniform to do PE in. Teachers have been told not to allow students to participate in playing uniform. Formals Formals are to be worn on game day only, this includes the vest. Please do not wear the vest on other days. Formals need to be worn correctly, including with the tie for boys. If you have PE on your game day, you must ensure you have a change of clothes to do PE in. Wearing formals is not an excuse to get out of participating in a PE lesson. Parking If you are picking up or dropping off your child for sport please use Gate 4 on Chichester Drive. If this is not possible please use Gate 3 on Rosehill Drive and park in the car park there. Please do not use the car park on Edinburgh Ave after school hours as this is locked in the evening and any cars parked there will be locked in.
