Dates to Remember From the Principal Tena koutou katoa Thank you to the Sports Department for their organisation of our annual sports Friday 25 June exchange with Hillcrest High School, which was held here on Tuesday. The weather Senior Art Exhibition was perfect and both teams exhibited excellent sportsmanship and enjoyed the Awards evening, D6, 6pm friendly rivalry. RHC RAISERS On Wednesday morning RHC Raisers caught up with Rachel Haggi from Days For Girls. Days For Girls is the charity that RHC Raisers have been raising money for over the past year through a variety of fundraisers such as bake sales, selling hot chocolates, and selling Roses on Valentine's Day. DFG makes and donates reusable sanitary products to girls around the world who do not have access to sanitary products and often have to take days off school because of this. We presented Days for Girls a cheque of $800 dollars which they were very thankful for. This money will help them buy fabric to make kits for girls who do not have access to sanitary products in New Zealand and Pacific countries such as Vanuatu.

Knowing that the doubles would decide the winner, we went out and secured the first doubles match. Anita and Chi knew that every point counted and they went to work to help secure the win. The game was even throughout and they managed to lose narrowly 21-20 which secured the win on countback. After a tough win, the team went out again straight away versus Manurewa. The team got off to a wobbly start losing the first match before the team got things back on track to win 5-1. This also secured the title which was pleasing after the Hillcrest exchange.
