ACG Strathallan College Alfriston College Aorere College Auckland Seventh Day Adventist High School De La Salle College Destiny School James Cook High School Kia Aroha College Mangere College Manurewa High School Mission Heights Junior College Ormiston Junior College Ormiston Senior College Otahuhu College Papakura High School Papatoetoe High School Pukekohe High School Rosehill College Sir Edmund Hillary Collegiate Southern Cross Campus Tangaroa College Week commencing 22nd June – week ending 26th September 2020 Pullman Park (TBC) • Junior: Year 9 or 10 only in the year of competition • U17: Players must be aged either 15, 16, or 17 years as at 31 December in the year in which the competition is held. • Open: Players must be aged at least 15 years on the first day that the competition commences, and must not be over 19 years as at 31 December in the year the competition is held • Entries must be submitted online via EnterNOW by 12.00pm (midday) Monday 8th June 2020. • All teams must supply 1 x referee for each of their scheduled games, see referee section below for more details • All grades are required to register their team players on EnterNOW before the entry closing date (12.00pm Monday 8th June 2020). • Each team shall consist of no more than 12 team members entitled to play. • Players are only allowed to be registered in one team, they cannot play down but once they have played up three times they must remain in that team. • The 3 game rule will apply for players in all grades . • Teams withdrawn after the entry closing date will still be liable for the entry fee. • Late entries will not be accepted. • College Sport will invoice schools once the season has begun. • By entering this competition, you agree to College Sport Auckland's Hosting Requirements: https://collegesport.co.nz/2020/05/25/hosting-requirements/ • Open Grade is not a “social” grade. Entering in Open A is the only way your team can qualify to get into Senior A. Entries for Open A will be collected separately to Zone Entries as the Open A remains split by the following zones: Central East, Central West, Counties Manukau and North Harbour. • Please be prepared to play from 4.00pm onwards. This person is to complete the score sheet before and after the game where needed, be aware of any medical problems of players in the team, implement the rules of the competition, and supervise the players. Teams without supervision may lose by default. No referees will be provided for either the A or B Grades. Each team (A & B Grades) must supply a minimum of 1 x referee per game. For referee workshops please contact Jilly at [email protected]. Referee workshops run for a minimum of 2 hours and can be hosted for a minimum of 10 participants at $75 per hour for the group. Online training is also available, with the recorded session being made available following the workshop. The online training cost is per person, for more details on this option please speak to Jilly directly. Due to time restraints on the 2020 Season there will be no Greater Auckland Basketball Championships this year. The Rules & Regulations are outlined in the Basketball Zone handbook (available on the College Sport website; www.collegesport.co.nz). This also includes the policy on withdrawals, defaults & rescheduled matches, and other policies you should be aware of. *Playing days/dates/venues may be subject to change due to number of teams entered and venue availability. .
