FIRST FRIDAY EXPOSITION AND ADORATION We will hold our monthly Adoration and Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament on this coming Friday, July 2. Exposition will begin at 9 am and conclude at 9 pm that evening. Adoration and Exposition will begin in the Nave. At 3 pm, the Blessed Sacrament will be transferred to the Chapel for the remainder of our First Friday celebration.

During our Adoration before the Blessed Eucharist, let us all lift up our prayers in thanksgiving and gratitude to Msgr. Cody, Fr. Watson and Deacon Michael. For over a year, we have often been in that boat in the midst of a storm, just like the Gospel story we heard last Sunday. God sent us Msgr. Cody and Fr. Watson who have traversed with us in the storm, always encourag- ing and directing our focus to Jesus. Deacon Michael has consistently been the glue connecting priests to the parish and they were all present and eager to help. These men of God deserve our heartfelt thanks and our prayers. We would also like to en- courage prayers for our new pastor, Fr. Joe Yokum. Let us pray with great hope and anticipation and smoother waves while we reach the shore to step up and out to follow our new shepherds, Fr. Yokum and Fr. Watson. If you’ve never been to Adoration, we challenge you to come. If you are a regular adorer, we encourage you to ask someone to come with you. Sign up online at ourladygc.org/first-friday. Sign-up sheets will also be in the lobby Sunday, June 27. Come for a convenient time according to your schedule and limitations. We appreciate the commitment and time from our parishioners to make sure that the Blessed Sacrament is never left unattended.

“Let us then turn our eyes towards Jesus in the Most Blessed Sacrament, and listen as he whispers in our hearts, “It is I!”

REAL PRESENCE, REAL FUTURE REFLECTIONS: ARISE AND EAT! Stephanie Rapp, St. Paul Parish & RPRF Commission Member: In today’s Gospel, Jesus takes a young girl’s hand, instructs her to “arise,” and then tells her parents to give her something to eat. He saves her from death and ensures that she is fed, and He does the same for us today. Jesus saves us from sin and death, invites us into a relationship with Him, and nourishes us with His Real Presence in the Eucharist! Alleluia! May we respond in faith to this invitation, take hold of His outstretched hand, and journey with our Lord into the future with faith, hope, love, and courage.
