Serial #268872. 12-gauge double barrel shotgun with 28” barrels and very good bores choked full and modified. Double triggers and extractor. Metal is good showing some wear and finish loss. Wood is good but has had extra finish added. Butt plate is a replacement. Action works fine. C&R. R 2. Taiyo Juki/Kassnar Model Single Break. Serial #735. 12-gauge single break shotgun with a 28” barrel choked full and a good bore. 2 ¾” chamber. Metal is very good showing little wear. Wood is good but here is a rough spot on the forearm. Extra finish may have been added. Eternal hammer. R 3. Winchester Model 370. Serial #C126760. 12-gauge single break shotgun with a 36” barrel with excellent bore. 3” chamber. Action works fine. Metal is good but there is some light rust on the receiver. Wood is good to very good. R 4. Stevens Model Springfield Side-by-Side. Serial #E42265. 12-gauge side-by-side shotgun with excellent bores and 28” barrels. Chambered in 3”. Metal is average with scattered rust and fading. Receiver maintains a little of its original case color. Wood is very good and appears to have been refinished. The trigger guard and screws are not original. Action works fine. Double triggers and extractor. C&R. R 5. Savage Model Sporter. Serial #44345. .32-20 bolt action rifle with a 24.75” barrel and slightly dirty bore that should clean to good. Action works fine. Metal has been refinished and is in excellent condition. Adjustable rear sight is original but front blade sight has been added. Wood is average with scratches and finish loss. Gun is missing the butt plate. One detachable magazine included. C&R. R 6. Winchester Model 12. Serial #330678. 20-gauge pump action shotgun with a 26” barrel choked full. 2 ¾” chamber. Metal is fair with most of the bluing gone from receiver and rear of barrel. Wood is average showing some wear and scratches, Action works fine. Original butt plate. LOP is 13.5” C&R. Page 2 R 7. Double action works with a little play in the cylinder. Swing out cylinder. Metal is fair and has turned to a spotted brown patina. Plastic Colt grips are average with some heavy scratches. C&R. R 11. American Gun Company Model Side-by-Side. Serial #273253. 20-gauge double barrel shotgun with 28” barrels and poor bores. Both barrels choked modified. 2 ¾” chamber. Action works. Double triggers and extractor. Metal is fair with heavy rust. Wood is poor with a split, scratches and extra finish added. Rubber butt plate also added. Includes a soft case and cleaning rod. C&R. R 12. Hunter Arms/LC Smith Model Field Grade. Serial #162713. 20-gauge double break with 28” barrels and excellent bores. Choked full and modified. 3” chambers. Metal is average with fading and light scattered rust. Some case coloring remains on receiver, Wood is fair with extra finish added and a mis-matched rubber butt pad. Double triggers and extractor. Action works OK. Pistol grip cap is broken. C&R. R 13. Winchester Model 1200. Serial #110003. 12-gauge pump action shotgun with a 30” barrel choked full and a dirty bore that should clean up. 2 ¾” chamber. Action works. Metal is fair with scratches on the receiver and scattered rust on the barrel. Wood is fair with heavy scratches and finish loss. Ventilated rib. LOP is 13.75”. Original rubber butt pad. Includes an extra deer slug barrel covered in rust, measuring 21 ½” with a fair bore and includes front and rear sights. R 14. Winchester Model 70 XTR. Serial #G1392724. .270 bolt action rifle with a 22” barrel with a good bore. Metal and wood are very good with light handling marks but there is a spot a spot of rust on the barrel’s underside. Jeweled bolt. Includes fold down rear sight and front ramp sight. Also includes a Weaver Micro-Trac 2.5X7 scope on see-through mounts, quick release swivels and a leather sling. Serial #NSN. 12-gauge side-by-side shotgun with 30” barrels and very good bores. Both barrels choked modified with 2.75” chambers. Metal is poor with significant finish loss, rust, streaking and a silver patina. Wood is fair with finish loss, dents and scratches. Double triggers with extractor. C&R. R 18. Remington Model 760BDL Deluxe. Serial #6905907. .30-06 pump action rifle with a 22” barrel and very good bore and action. Adjustable rear sight and front ramp sight. Metal is good with some edge and slide wear. Wood is average with wear and scratches. Includes a Bushnell Banner 3X8 scope and a leather sling. C&R. 19. Belgium Model Folding Trigger Pin Fire Revolver. Serial #NSN. 7mm 6-shot revolver with a 3.25” barrel and a folding trigger. Action works. Metal has been refinished and is very good with some old corrosion. Wooded grips are good but there is a partial crack in one. Antique Firearm. R 20. Belgium Model Top Break. Serial #9443. .44 6-shot top break revolver with a dirty bore that should clean to very good. Double action seems to work OK. Metal is average with some fading and light rust and appears to have been refinished. Wooden grips are good. Includes a saddle ring. This is a copy of an early Smith & Wesson revolver. Gun is in overall excellent condition with hardwood grips and includes the extra magnum cylinder, gun lock, owner’s manual and factory hard case. Metal is generally good but has one area of heavy pitting on the barrel. Grey synthetic stock with raised cheek plate and rubber butt pad in good condition. Includes a Bushnell 3x9 scope and a nylon sling on quick release swivels. It also Includes 2 magazines. R 27. Marlin Model 25N. The good plus to near excellent condition showing some light handling cylinder has been shaved for 45 ACP and has no visible number, the marks. The barrel and breechblock are matching the frame, one original barrel is matching the frame, the lanyard ring is intact and the revolver is magazine is included and the action seems to function well marked "ENGLAND" along with commercial export proofs.

SHORT TITLE. 4 This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Assault Weapons Ban 5 of 2017’’. 6 SEC. 2. DEFINITIONS. 7 (a) IN GENERAL.—Section 921(a) of title 18, United 8 States Code, is amended— SIL17927 S.L.C. 2 1 (1) by inserting after paragraph (29) the fol- 2 lowing: 3 ‘‘(30) The term ‘semiautomatic pistol’ means any re- 4 peating pistol that— 5 ‘‘(A) utilizes a portion of the energy of a firing 6 cartridge to extract the fired cartridge case and 7 chamber the next round; and 8 ‘‘(B) requires a separate pull of the trigger to 9 fire each cartridge. 10 ‘‘(31) The term ‘semiautomatic shotgun’ means any 11 repeating shotgun that— 12 ‘‘(A) utilizes a portion of the energy of a firing 13 cartridge to extract the fired cartridge case and 14 chamber the next round; and 15 ‘‘(B) requires a separate pull of the trigger to 16 fire each cartridge.’’; and 17 (2) by adding at the end the following: 18 ‘‘(36) The term ‘semiautomatic assault weapon’ 19 means any of the following, regardless of country of manu- 20 facture or caliber of ammunition accepted: 21 ‘‘(A) A semiautomatic rifle that has the capac- 22 ity to accept a detachable magazine and any 1 of the 23 following: 24 ‘‘(i) A pistol grip.

BACKGROUND This matter began in January 2013 with the filing of a putative class action against Remington Arms Company, LLC, Sporting Goods Properties, Inc., and E.I. Du Pont Nemours and Company. Doc. #1.1 The Complaint alleges certain rifles manufactured by Defendants since 1948 would fire unexpectedly without a trigger pull, and made claims of unfair and deceptive trade practices under Missouri statutes, 1 Similar putative class action suits were filed in Florida, Washington, and Montana. Doc. #84, at 5. Chapman v. Remington Arms Co., Case No. 12-CV-24561 (S.D. Fla. Dec. 31, 2012); Moodie v. Remington Arms Co., Case No. 13-CV-172 (W.D. Wash. Jan. 29, 2013); Huleatt v. Remington Arms Co., Case No. 13-CV-113 (D. Mont. June 4, 2013). According to the parties, Chapman and Huleatt were voluntarily dismissed in 2013. Doc. #180, at 13. Moodie remains pending.
