He leaves behind a multitude of legacies certain never to be replicated. Whether it was his unparalleled career in college athletics as an athlete, coach, athletic administrator and broadcaster, or his Broyles, SEC 1944 Player of the Year, handled all the passing (left) and punting (right) from his tailback spot playing for Georgia Tech under legendary Coach tireless work in the fourth quarter of his life Bobby Dodd as an Alzheimer’s advocate, his passion was always the catalyst for changing the world around him for the better, delivered with a smooth Southern drawl. The 7-1 record marks the Huskers’ first 7-1 record through eight games since 2011. Nebraska is 3-1 in conference play for the fifth straight season.Nebraska improved to 5-0 at home this season and has won 11 of 14 Big Ten home games since joining the conference in 2011. Nebraska senior I-back Ameer Abdullah rushed 19 times for 225 yards and three touchdowns. Abdullah’s 225 rushing yards marked his fourth 200-yard rushing game of the season (Florida Atlantic, Miami, Illinois, Rutgers) all at Memorial Stadium. His four 200-yard rushing games this season ties the Nebraska season record, matching Mike Rozier’s four 200-yard rushing games in 1983. Abdullah has five career 200-yard rushing games. Abdullah’s 225 rushing yards marked his 23rd career 100-yard rushing game, and his sixth of the 2014 season. Abdullah’s 23 100-yard rushing games are the most in the nation and the second-most in NU history, trailing Mike Rozier’s 26 career 100-yard rushing games. With his 225 rushing yards, Abdullah increased his season rushing total to 1,249 yards, moving him into the No. 13 on the NU single-season rushing list, including second among senior seasons. Abdullah increased his career rushing total to 4,226 yards, moving him within 554 yards of Mike Rozier’s Nebraska career record of 4,780 rushing yards. -

OFFENSE: QB ELI MANNING, NEW YORK GIANTS Manning completed 27 of 31 passes (career-high 87.1 percent) for 337 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions for a career-best 151.5 passer rating in the Giants’ 31-24 win at Miami. Manning’s 87.1 completion percentage is the highest by a Giants quarterback in a regular-season game (minimum 20 attempts) and the second-best mark in franchise history behind PHIL SIMMS’ 88.0 completion percentage (22 of 25) in Super Bowl XXI. He is the first Giants quarterback to have a passer rating of at least 150 in a game since 2002 (KERRY COLLINS, 158.3 on December 22). Manning threw touchdown passes to ODELL BECKHAM JR. (84 and six yards), RUEBEN RANDLE (six yards) and WILL TYE (five yards). Manning’s 84-yard touchdown pass to Beckham with 11:13 remaining in the fourth quarter broke a 24-24 tie and proved to be the game-winning score. He has six touchdown passes of at least 50 yards this season, the most in the NFL. -
