Exhibit 99.1 Borqs Technologies Receives 1.7 Million sq.ft. Land Use Rights for the 5G Industrial Park Project in Huzhou, China Santa Clara, California, June 7, 2021 – Borqs Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: BRQS, “Borqs”, or the “Company”), a global provider of embedded software and products for the Internet of Things (IoT) and a portfolio company of Qualcomm Technologies, today reported that the Company has signed a supplementary agreement with the Huzhou South Taihu New Development Commission in which Borqs is granted land use rights to 240 Chinese acres (equivalent to 1.7 million sq. ft.) to build up a 5G Industrial Park particularly for 5G mobile technologies R&D and incubation activities, IoT products manufacturing and showcases, as well as hosting facilities for visitors. The first phase of product assembly facilities has already begun and is anticipated to be operational by the end of June 2021. As previously disclosed in December last year that the Company is in cooperation with the Huzhou authorities for development of the latest mobile technologies and IoT products, this award is one of only five such grants made by Huzhou to commercial enterprises. The 1.7 million sq.ft. of land use rights will be provided to Borqs at the lowest allowable pricing. The Company is authorized to manage all procurement of the project including the solicitation of real estate developers and business participants, and is also anticipated to recruit graduates from the academic institutions in the Huzhou area. It is located in the northern part of Zhejiang Province at the south shore of the beautiful Taihu Lake, with a total planning area of 225 square kilometers. Accessible by high speed railway and five express highways, the area is also connected with the inland water transportation channels in China. There are four international airports around the new area, including Hongqiao and Pudong in Shanghai, Xiaoshan in Hangzhou and Lukou in Nanjing. Further About Borqs Technologies, Inc. Los fundadores de Android fueron a trabajar a Google. En ese entonces, era poco lo que se conocía sobre Android, solo que desarrollaban software para teléfonos móviles. Esto genero rumores de que Google estaba planeando entrar en el mercado de la telefonía móvil. En Google, un equipo desarrolló una plataforma para dispositivos móviles basado en el kernel de Linux los cuales fueron promocionados a los fabricantes y prestadores de servicios móviles a partir de la premisa de aportar una sistema flexible y fácilmente actualizable. We believe it’s clearer that Sina Weibo has become one of the most important mass media channels for news distribution Sohu.com Inc. (SOHU, Hold) and acquisition. According our proprietary data and measured by the total accumulated number of app downloads, Sina leads this market with 83% market share, followed by Tencent with 16%. Other Weibo providers have Baidu Inc. (BIDU, Hold) almost disappeared from this part of the market (Figure 1). Portal vendors lead the mobile news market – Based on our proprietary NetEase Inc. Ray Tang Hou On Wednesday, May 20, 2020, the United States Senate passed by unanimous School of Law consent Senate Bill 945, known as the Holding Foreign Companies Accountable Act University of Virginia (“HFCAA”). Louisiana Senator John Kennedy (R) introduced the HFCAA with four bipartisan co-sponsors. It now goes to the House of Representatives where Representative Brad Sherman (D-California) introduced the House version of the HFCAA. If the House bill passes, routine conference procedures will reconcile any differences between the House and Senate versions. After passage by both branches, it moves to President Donald Trump for signature into law. The White House signaled support for the legislation in its June 4, 2020, memorandum, stating that “[w]e must ensure that laws providing protections for investors in American financial markets are fully enforced for companies listed on United States stock exchanges.” The argument for holding Chinese companies to the same standards as American companies when listed on U.S. stock exchanges has merit, but the legislation targets a minor issue – Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (“PCAOB”) inspections.
