Thursday 4/8- Boys Soccer @ Gunn. FS 4pm/ Varsity 6 pm Girls JV Soccer @ Menlo Atherton 7 pm

Battle of the Classes is taking place the last week of April (-30th!). Students can fill out the survey or contact their class representatives to sign up for events. Parent permission slips will be required to participate. (K. Johnson)

Athlete Signing Day will be taking place on 4/21 at 12:15pm! (K. Johnson)

There will be a freshman picnic on 4/27 at 12:30pm! 9th graders, bring your lunches to the lacrosse field and meet your classmates.(K. Johnson)

Prom Tickets are on sale now! Tickets prices go up each week, so seniors order your tickets soon! This event is currently seniors only. Prom will be taking place on 15th from 7-11pm. The theme is Carnival! See the MVHS website for more information. (K. Johnson)

There will be a Candidly Speaking Event on 5/4 at 2:30pm! The first event was a huge success. This is a great opportunity for students at MVHS and LAHS to come together, listen to the experiences of others, and share their experiences. (K. Johnson)

Foothill Middle College - Application deadline extended to 4/30/21! www.foothillmiddlecollege.org- Are you a bright, curious free-thinker who is yearning for a more mature and engaging environment? Are you interested in participating in a small, accepting, and mutually supportive community? Are you capable of doing college level work and interested in earning college credits while in high school? Foothill Middle College is now recruiting students from the Palo Alto Unified and Mountain View-Los Altos High School Districts for the next school year. Middle College is an alternative program that serves bright students who may not be performing up to their full potential, or students who are dissatisfied with the traditional high school environment. Hi Happy Spring Class of 2021, Here's 5 important reminders to complete for your final spartan school yearbook! Read below for details.

Six important things you need to do are;

1. LAST CALL; A few more spots to fill for baby photos: The Olympiad Yearbook wants to feature one of your favorite baby photos!

● Find a "baby" photograph of yourself or ask family to help you find one.Please send your baby/toddler photo (JPEG FILE) (3 years or younger) to the senior yearbook section email [email protected], please include your full name in the email with attached baby photo. ● Make sure to include your full name in the email with the attached baby photo. Please make sure the baby photograph is a jpeg file, high resolution 300 dpi is best.

2. Senior Panoramic "2021" Version a special yearbook feature asking for 100% participation!! Calling all seniors to submit a photograph of themselves wearing school colors to this google form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSevkciek0G5pHUENwpRtqcJ1up2vuFvjv0u6b12Km2pXnsMzA/viewfor m

3. Are you participating in any of the three seasons of sports? Are your parents taking photos at the games or matches? Please email/share any/all sport photographs with the yearbook staff. Email [email protected]

Take and share your photographs of you and your MVHS Senior classmates/friends, spring break, virtual school events, social distanced club/organization activities, training for sports/ games, virtual performances, virtual camps, weekends, staycations, projects and activities you're doing in classes, volunteering and jobs. To ensure high quality printing in the yearbook, please provide only high resolution images.

Images can be uploaded in JPEG file format. Do NOT use a TIFF, PNG or HEIC file format. high resolution 300 dpi is best, "large" actual original photograph size" Share your photographs with the yearbook,

● 1st you will need to make a labeled yearbook folder on your computer desktop or in your DRIVE - save images in your yearbook folder through the year. 6. Previous Yearbooks are on sale through the finance office. Are you bummed you never purchased your Freshman, Sophomore or Junior yearbook? Worry not, email Mrs. Engle ([email protected]) with the school year you're looking for and she will secure your very own copy to treasure for years to come! Community College Workshops for Seniors- Seniors should sign up for both the application AND orientation workshop for the college of their choice to ensure they receive priority registration to choose classes next school year. Summer school applications for in-seat summer school (remediation only) and online Health (through MVLAAE) are now available. Students and families, please check your email and Mike's Memos for detailed instructions on how to enroll. (M. McGuirk)

Spartan Families! Please make a note of the change in dates for food distribution. MVHS Campus will be closed, due to the upcoming spring break (April 12th-16th). We will have two distribution dates on the week of April 5th. The distribution dates are as follows:

● April 5th (Monday) ● April 8th (Thursday)

The time of distribution remains the same from 11 am -1 pm. We want to ensure that our students have meals during breaks. **Please note that we will continue to serve our weekly meals on Mondays, following the break. Thank you, MVHS Cafeteria Staff (Freitas)
