The CCSRC is composed of nine total members, with one appointed by each Councilmember with a formal or informal background of the history and geography of New Orleans. Mayor LaToya Cantrell and the City Planning Commission appointed the remaining two members. The Commission was charged with several key responsibilities, which included conducting a thorough research and public engagement process to develop a comprehensive set of renaming recommendations for streets, parks, and places across the city. In the course of auditing the list of City streets beyond those initially identified by the New Orleans Public Library, the Commission consulted a panel of experts to provide an additional set of names, which was used to formulate the recommendations listed in this report. -

What Could You Be Using? The number and variety of social-media platforms can overwhelm even those most eager to incorporate social media into their legal practice. And many of us simply do not have (or do not make) time to think through how certain platforms may enhance our practices. With that in mind, this exercise seeks to serve as a cheat sheet, allowing you to hear from those at your table on how they use social media in their professional lives. Here’s the task: for the platforms below that you use in your practice, share with your table how you have done so and how it has enhanced your practice. For those platforms that you (or those at your table) have not used, discuss how you could possibly utilize them. HOWARD, ET AL. * * * ************************************* MOTION AND INCORPORATED MEMORANDUM TO ADOPT MOTION TO DISMISS AND TO FILE MEMORANDUM IN SUPPORT OF REQUEST FOR EVIDENTIARY HEARING NOW INTO COURT through undersigned counsel comes defendant, Andre Hankton, who respectfully requests that he be allowed to adopt the Motion to Dismiss filed by defendant Telly Hankton and to file a memorandum in support of Mr. Hankton’s request for an evidentiary hearing on the Motion to Dismiss. Defendants Telly Hankton and Andre Hankton have been joined in the same indictment and have both been charged with capital-eligible offenses. Like Telly Hankton, Andre Hankton has suffered prejudice from pre-indictment disclosures by the government to the media. Accordingly, defendant Andre Hankton respectfully requests that he be permitted to join in defendant Telly Hankton’s motion to dismiss based on improper disclosures to the media. Administrative/Biographical History In 1984, WYES, New Orleans' public television station, began broadcasting Informed Sources, a program devoted to in-depth discussion of the news by local journalists. During that first show, a panel of journalists speculated about the reasons for the financial dilemmas of the Louisiana World Exposition, locally known as the World's Fair. Now more than two decades later, every Friday night at 7:00 p.m., Louisiana's newsmen and women continue to speculate, discuss and examine the news of the week. The idea for Informed Sources originated in 1971 on WYES with City Desk, a news and talk show, which featured the staff of the New Orleans States-Item and ran for seven seasons. The station had been without a news program for several years when Marcia Kavanaugh Radlauer, an experienced television reporter and independent producer, was asked to create a new show. Like City Desk, the format was a panel discussion of current news, but instead of featuring journalists from only one source, a variety of participants from television, radio, newspapers and eventually, online newsletters contributed their talents and expertise. Informed Sources originally included a "Newsmakers" interview to help fill the half-hour, but before long that segment was omitted. -
