Pag. 1 / 2 Sin dagli esordi quella degli Spandau Ballet è stata una musica tempestiva, capace di raccontare il presente e di prevedere il futuro: da Communication a True, da Gold, a Only When You Leave, sino ad arrivare a I'll Fly For You e Through The Barricades. L'enorme successo degli Spandau Ballet fu suggellato dalla partecipazione alla registrazione del disco 'Band Aid' e dalla loro performance al Live Aid allo stadio di Wembley nell'estate del 1985. Organizzato da Bob Geldof e Midge Ure per ricavare fondi per combattere la carestia in Etiopia, Live Aid è diventato uno dei più grandi eventi rock di tutti i tempi: mai consapevolezza globale fu incanalata in modo più netto e chiaro.
