Smoke Hickman, History and Heritage Chair The Foundation has opened discussions with representatives from Viking River Cruises in the United States to explore a Foundation sponsored river cruise in Europe in late June 2014. We’re currently looking at a river cruise in Southern France from Avignon, near Nice, to Chalon-sur- Saone, near Lyon. (Go to www.vikingrivercruises. com for more information) If we can assure the company of either 150 or 200 Image courtesy of Viking Cruises passengers, we can get a significant price break. With that number, they will dedicate a riverboat entirely to the Foundation. If we can’t fill the entire boat, they will still give the Foundation special pricing. We tried to pick a date in the summer that would not impact college graduations, summer vacations, etc. We realize that it is a long way off, but planning is essential. Right now we would like to get a “wind chill” and family, please let us know. Also, any comments/ indication of interest. So if you are remotely interested suggestions are always welcome.
