Local ESVA Resources and Information Respective ESVA chambers will provide local financial assistance and information that caters specifically to small businesses and local industries in rural communities – Accomack County, Northampton County, and Chincoteague – that have been financially effected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Financial options from small business relief grants, SBA PPP to alternative financing options. County Chambers and Business Information Centers Eastern Shore Chamber • The Eastern Shore Chamber, representing both Accomack and Northampton county, supports a thriving community of businesses of numerous industries and diverse focuses. We advocate on behalf of our business community, promote news and events, and provide intentional networking opportunities for our business members. The chamber strives to provide financial resources and information for business in time of need and economic assistance. • The Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce seeks to provide financial resources and information for businesses during this Covid-19 pandemic. The chamber is fully aware of the financial hardship that the pandemic has brought to our community and to our businesses that depend on the Eastern Shore’s welfare and economic prosperity. We seek to dispense any form of information and resources regarding financial aid to local businesses. • For the ESVA Chamber business resources webpage or if you have questions and concerns, please Click Here Chincoteague Chamber of Commerce & Certified Visitor Center • The Chincoteague Chamber of Commerce & Certified Visitor Center is a non-profit DMO representing businesses from Salisbury, MD to the Hampton Roads, VA. As a DMO, we have recognized the financial weight and the economic difficulty that the Covid-19 virus has brought to our communities, tourist attractions, and to small businesses. • Our efforts will be focused on business resiliency and financial recovery to meet the needs that our local businesses require to sustain and survive this pandemic in its entirety. The Chincoteague Chamber of Commerce will provide financial resources and information for businesses and communities that are suffering from the economic effects of the pandemic. We build partnerships with those we serve and other community resources in order to foster health, independence, and self-sufficiency. To provide and offer high-quality, integrated human services for families at all stages of life, that address their unique needs (such as issues of aging, health, housing, nutrition, transportation, education, employment, economic opportunity, and community development) and linking them with resources in our community. • For Covid-19 resources and information, please Click Here Main Street Initiative The Virginia Main Street Program is a preservation-based economic and community development program that follows the Main Street Four-Point Approach™ developed by the National Trust Main Street Center. Virginia Main Street offers a range of services and assistance to communities interested in revitalizing their historic commercial districts. While the program was designed to address the need for revitalization and on-going management of smaller to mid-sized downtowns, aspects of the Main Street Approach™ may be applied successfully in other commercial settings. In this case two awards have been presented to only two towns located on the Eastern Shore: • Onancock Main Street – Click Here o Onancock Main Street (OMS) is a volunteer-driven, nonprofit organization that works to develop and sustain our historic downtown as a vital economic, cultural, recreational and residential center for our community. OMS works in partnership with community and business stakeholders and the Town of Onancock to ensure our downtown not only grows, but thrives. • Capes Charles Main Street – Click Here (Temporary Working Page) o Cape Charles Main Street, Inc. is a non-profit organization which is part of the Virginia Main Street Program.
