I’m sorry about that, Alex. It won’t happen again, I promise. Issue Number 162 • October 2011 www.modelcarsmag.com We have some great new kits out this year. Revell’s new 1/12 scale Mustang ISSN: 15274608 Shelby GT500 is on my bench as I speak, and the new Moebius Hudson Hornet has also just hit my workbench. Bill Coulter and Len Carsner have Publisher Larry Bell beaten us all to the punch with their knockout build and review of this great Editor Gregg Hutchings new kit, and I’m sure we’ll see tons of other builds on our forum and web site [email protected] within the new few months, if not next few weeks! Art Director Harry Pristovnik Marketing Director John Oszajca For me, of course, I love the new 1/12 Shelby GT500, due to the fact that I [email protected] had a nice new 2010 Mustang GT Convertible for the last year and a half. Had? What’s that? Another new car? Well, it’s not what you think. I don’t Associate Editors have my own private jet and all that, it’s more that Kelly and I were filling Dave Pye [email protected] Darryl Gassaway [email protected] up the Mustang every five days, and that was not fun anymore. Yes, it was a great fun car, especially with the top down and cruising around, but I was Photo Editor Doug Whyte not able to enjoy those far and few days like I should be able to. So, I Copy Editor Paul Anagnostopoulos ditched the Mustang in favor of a new hybrid Ford Fusion. It’s nice, Circulation Director Sherri Simpson but…yawn… (877.463.3127 toll-free or 303.296.1600 for subscriptions) Anyway, the new Moebius Hudson Hornet is really cool. I will probably Production Manager Joe Simpson make mine a sleek custom, and I’m sure a lot of others will as well. It builds into a nice replica stock version, as you can see by Bill and Len’s feature in Production Auggie Velasquez this issue. I’m also building the Moebius new International Lonestar in Candy Apple Red, which will be wearing some of those cool aluminum rims Contributing to this issue: I featured from MicroNut.com a little while ago. I have also laid down the paint on the new Trumpeter Falcon Convertible, Tim Ahlborn Larry Greenberg Tamiya Pearl Green, with a two-tone brown/light brown interior.
