+ OPENING + We stand. INVOCATION L In the name of the Father and of the + Son and of the Holy Spirit. C Amen. L Be joyful in the LORD, all you lands; C serve the LORD with gladness and come before his presence with a song. L Know this: The LORD himself is God; C he himself has made us, and we are his; we are his people and the sheep of his pasture. L Enter his gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise; C give thanks to him and call upon his name. L For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; C and his faithfulness endures from age to age. (Psalm 100) OFFERTORY PRAYER L Let us pray. Merciful Father, C we offer with joy and thanksgiving what you have first given us— our selves, our time, and our possessions, signs of your gracious love. Receive them for the sake of him who offered himself for us, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. + WORD + We sit. READING After the reading: L The Word of the Lord. C Thanks be to God. HOMILY 2 RESPONSE L In many and various ways God spoke to his people of old by the prophets. C But now in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son. + PRAYERS + We stand. PRAYERS After the reading: L Lord, in your mercy, C hear our prayer. The prayers conclude: CONCLUDING PRAYER L O Lord, almighty and everlasting God, you have brought us in safety to this new day; preserve us with your mighty power, that we may not fall into sin, nor be overcome in adversity; and in all we do, direct us to the fulfilling of your purpose; through Jesus Christ our Lord. C Amen. LORD’S PRAYER L Gathered into one by the Holy Spirit, let us pray as Jesus taught us: C Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen. 3 BENEDICAMUS DOMINO & BENEDICTION L Let us bless the Lord. C Thanks be to God.
