HISTORICAL NOTE: was established in 1873 and has been managed by various law enforcement bodies and jurisdictions ever since. This includes law enforcement at the city, county, state, and federal levels, as well as specialized law enforcement for airports, railroads, university campuses and Indian reservations.

SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE: This collection contains miscellaneous newspaper clippings and magazine articles concerning activities of city, county, state and federal law enforcement agencies in Arizona from the 1880s to the 1990s. Each Arizona county is represented, along with the cities of Flagstaff, Phoenix, and Tucson, among others. Files on border patrol, campus law enforcement, and Indian police are also included.
