- c c c Mrs Holmes students were asked to make peacock feathers on an art board using 5 different colors. They later outlines the "eyes" of the feather with India ink. The vibrant gouache paint pops against the black India ink. The students’ natural variation in the painting helps make the peacock feathers come alive. Art Supervised by Shan Wong.

With this unique exhibit, the amazing students have recreated this marvel of the universe on wood with colorful threads weaved around the nails. This extremely intricate design is an attempt to display the final spurt of life before the exploding star disappears forever in the darkness of the universe. - c d t c d t t c This artwork represents various sacred aspects of Huichol Indians' tribal life. Huichol Indians have lived in a secluded area of Mexico for more than 1000 years. The symbols in this art work represent natural forces & elements such as weather, agriculture, birth & health. It also shows various ceremonies performed by Huichols to contact, learn from and work with these energies.Huoichol Indians express their deepest religious feelings and beliefs acquired through a lifetime of participation in ceremonies and rites. From the time they are children, they learn how to communicate with the spirit world through the symbols and rituals. Art Supervised by Preeti Kelkar.
