Lyoness International AG

First founded back in 2003, the Lyoness story has been one of great success: Lyoness now operates in 46 different countries around the world and forms an international network of around 5 million Members and 50,000 Loyalty Merchants. After achieving its aim to expand across Europe by the start of 2013, Lyoness’ focus turned to incorporating a new company, Lyoness International AG, consolidating its subsidiaries and launching a multi-brand strategy – all part of its comprehensive plan for growth.

Since 2014, there has been further restructuring: Lyoness International AG is now supported by the service company Lyoness Group AG, which is responsible for product development, service and support. Headquar- tered in , Lyoness International AG serves as a to manage the global business by looking after the four continental companies under which all the national subsidiaries are distributed. Its main responsibilities are supporting Lyoness Members, Loyalty Merchants and Lyconet Marketers in all of the individual countries.

Lyoness Group AG is based in , , where it performs a range of different services for the Lyo- ness group. The employees and managers at Lyoness Group AG work in a wide array of fields, ranging from product development and IT to marketing and service. They provide important support for Lyoness companies all over the world.

Shopping Community, Customer Loyalty Programme and Network Marketing Business

The Lyoness Group of companies is an international business comprising three main seg- ments; a shopping community, a customer loyalty programme and a network marketing business.

In 2014, the Lyoness Group underwent a significant restructuring process with a view to improving communication with and services to all target groups, dividing these three main segments into two separate brands; Lyoness and Lyconet.

Lyoness forms the foundation of the Lyoness Group and incorporates two key areas of business: • An international multi-sector community for shoppers • A customer loyalty programme for businesses

Lyoness works with businesses, mainly from the retail and service sectors, who agree to join the loyalty programme as Loyalty Merchants, and with whom are negotiated special discounted shopping conditions. These are passed on to Lyoness Members when they shop at Loyalty Merchants, in the form of shopping benefits (including “Cashback” and “Shopping Points”), thus providing businesses with their own Customer Loyalty Programme and shoppers with a Shopping Community.

Lyconet encompasses the remaining area of business: • A network marketing solution for businesses and independent entrepreneurs

The Lyconet network marketing programme provides independent entrepreneurs (“Marketers”) with the opportunity to establish their own shopping networks and to benefit from purchases made by them at Loyalty Merchants worldwide; they also can earn additional income from marketing Lyoness products on behalf of Lyconet.

Vision

Lyoness aims to establish the world’s most popular advantage card (the Cashback Card) to accompany the world’s largest customer loyalty programme. Lyoness promises “Money back with every purchase” at Lyoness Loyalty Merchants, providing Members, as part of an international, multi-sector shopping community, with the unique opportunity to save money by receiving Cashback and Shopping Points.

Cashback With every purchase made at a Loyalty Merchant, a Member will receive up to 5% of the purchase value as Cashback at LYONESS.COM. Once 5 euros or more has accumulated (amount varies by country), this money is transferred automatically into his private bank account.

Shopping Points In addition to Cashback, Lyoness Members will also receive Shopping Points for every purchase made at a Loyalty Merchant. Shopping Points can be redeemed in exchange for exclusive deals on selected products and services. The number of Shopping Points received per purchase is dependent on its total value, in line with the conditions predetermined by the Loyalty Merchant in question.

7 SHOPPING WITH LYONESS

Lyoness Members receive up to 5% Cashback and Shopping Points, as an overall percentage of the total purchase value, every time they shop at a Loyalty Merchant – saving money really is that simple!

Each Member has access to an online personal profile at LYONESS.COM, where he can check the current status and balance of his shopping benefits at any time.

The Lyoness Cashback Card is designed to be used in a similar way to other advantage cards, whilst collecting Cashback in Members’ online cash accounts. The Prepaid Lyoness MasterCard® is a prepaid debit card with the added functionality of a Cashback Card: Lyoness Members can use the Prepaid Lyoness MasterCard® to make payments as well as receive Cashback at participating Loyalty Merchants.

Vouchers provide Members with another form of cashless payment that allows them to save money at participating Loyalty Merchants. Vouchers can be ordered and purchased from a number of Voucher Selling Points, or from Members’ local Lyoness Office.

Lyoness Members can also save money when shopping online. The Lyoness online shopping portal at LYONESS.COM provides Members with easy access to their favourite online Loyalty Merchants and purchases are tracked automatically, making it even easier to benefit! If Members decide to activate the “Cashback Bar” browser extension, they will also receive regular updates on the shopping benefits available from online Loyalty Merchants.

To assist Loyalty Merchants in their success, Lyoness provides each business with a method of actively monitoring and controlling customer streams, using the Cashback Card and “Money back with every purchase” guarantee. With this knowledge, Lyoness Members actively seek out Loyalty Merchants for each of their shopping requirements – handing their significant purchasing power to the Loyalty Merchant. In turn, to thank their customers for the increase in sales, Loyalty Merchants can then pass even more special conditions (e.g. Shopping Point Deals) on to Lyoness Members.

Revitalise Your Region Since 2013, Lyoness has committed to the promotion, development and expansion of the international SME network. As a result, we have been able to continue improving services with loyalty programme solutions specifically tailored to every Loyalty Merchant’s individual needs.

The Lyoness Service and Solution Pack The “Lyoness Service and Solution Pack” is a collection of unique customer management solutions, developed especially for the needs of small and medium sized enterprises. The pack features a range of point of sale materials, as well as an array of selected marketing tools including the Lyoness MTERM – a tablet enabling Loyalty Merchants to register new customers and collect customer and purchase data in a matter of seconds. The Pack also includes co-branded Cashback Cards (featuring the Loyalty Merchant’s own logo), which ensure that customers are reminded of the Loyalty Merchant every time they shop. Lyoness’ complete Service and Solution Pack also features a targeted newsletter tool, a survey tool and an online platform where Loyalty Merchants can monitor their statistics and advertise to their customers.

Changing the world for the better

When Members shop at Lyoness Loyalty Merchants, not only will they receive shopping benefits, but they will also contribute to the Lyoness Foundations. A proportion of every purchase made through Lyoness is automatically directed to support the Child & Family Foundation (CFF) in running educational and aid projects across the globe. Equally, a proportion of all Lyoness purchases is used to fund the global climate and environmental projects run by the Greenfinity Foundation (GFF) since 2012.

Hubert Freidl was born in Graz, Austria in 1972. At the age of 23, he took his first step to become self-employed, offering his advice and expertise in software development to firms throughout Europe.
